Teknopark Istanbul won the GRAND PRIX award again this year at ISIF'22 Istanbul International Invention Fair, Turkey's only international invention fair. The biggest award of the fair, GRAND PRIX, was presented to Prof. Dr. Rana Sanyal's "Frangible polymer drug conjugates" invention.
The GRAND PRIX trophy, which is the biggest award at the end of the ISIF'22 International Invention Fair, hosted by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office and organized in cooperation with the International Federation of Inventors' Association (IFIA), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO), Just like last year, Technopark Istanbul became the winner this year.
Founding Partner of RS Research, operating within Teknopark Istanbul, Prof. Dr. Rana Sanyal received the award she won for her invention of "Frangible Polymer Pharmaceutical Conjugates" from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Technopark Istanbul Technology Transfer Office Connectto, which participated in the fair with 10 patents, won 10 awards in total. In addition to RS Research, which won the GRAND PRIX cup, which is extremely difficult to win two years in a row, SFA R&D and New Senses companies operating within Teknopark Istanbul received the gold medal, Altınay Defense, Remora Teknoloji and Cet Teknoloji companies, as well as Teknopark Istanbul's youngest entrepreneur Mısra Berna Özdemir won the silver medal. In addition, New Senses was awarded the International Innovation Exhibition ARCA special award.
Teknopark Istanbul General Manager Bilal TOPÇU stated that the entrepreneurs who received the award will start commercializing their projects with the support of the technology transfer office and incubation center within Istanbul Teknopark, and expressed his belief that investment news will be received very soon.
3 domestic, 210 foreign, in Turkey's only international invention fair, organized under the leadership of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Agency, within the body of TEKNOFEST KARADENİZ, held at Samsun Çarşamba Airport under the execution of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T67 Foundation) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology. 277 inventions were exhibited.
Each invention exhibited at ISIF'22 was evaluated separately by the international jury consisting of experts in their fields.
A total of 11 special, 40 gold, 80 silver and 70 bronze medals were awarded to the participants at the event.
