The ceremony was attended by TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ Deputy General Manager Çetin Altun, AFAD Vice President Önder Bozkurt, Pakistan's Ambassador to Ankara Muhammed Sirus Seccad Gazi, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and railway managers and employees.

“A total of 1373 tons of aid materials will be delivered to Pakistan with three goodness trains”

Çetin Altun, Deputy General Manager of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, stated that they sent 29 tons of emergency aid materials in 500 wagons with the first kindness train and 28 tons in 452 cars with the second kindness train to Pakistan, which was victimized by the flood.

Altun continued his words as follows: “Today, we are saying goodbye to our 33rd Goodness Train, which carries 25 tons of emergency relief materials in 421 wagons that our more than 3 million Pakistani brothers needed due to the flood disaster. Our Pakistan Kindness Train will arrive at Iran's Zahedan Station from Turkey in 8 days, and aid materials will be delivered to those in need in Pakistan with the transfer to be made here. I would like to underline once again that we, as railwaymen, are very proud to be a part of this goodness movement.”

“We sent 15 planes to the region with these aid trains”

AFAD Vice President Bozkurt reminded that they sent a significant amount of humanitarian aid to Pakistan with the first two trains.

Reminding that the people of Pakistan made very important contributions during the National Struggle, Bozkurt said that the Turkish nation did not forget the good deeds done to them.

Stating that the flood in Pakistan caused great destruction and millions of people were affected by the flood, Bozkurt said, “I hope these aids, delivered with the patriotic and loyal stance of the Turkish nation, will reach the region. Together with these aid trains, we sent 15 planes to the region.” said.

Pakistan's Ambassador to Ankara Muhammed Sirus Seccad Gazi thanked the Turkish state and people for their assistance.
