Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which continues to work for citizens to benefit from transportation services throughout the city, attaches special importance to the tram line project that will extend to Kuruçeşme.

SIDE ROADS ARE PAVELED

Work continues on the Kuruçeşme Tram line, which will connect Akçaray to Kuruçeşme by crossing the opposite side of the D-100 from Plajyolu Station. Within the scope of the project, the superstructure production of the side roads has started. The first layer of asphalt of the side roads was also laid. In the coming days, the border and parquet production of the side roads will be started.

STEEL BEAM MANUFACTURING

The steel beams between the reinforced concrete beams of the 332-foot and 9-span overpass for the line to be connected to Kuruçeşme with a 8-meter-long bridge have begun. In the Kuruçeşme junction area within the scope of the project, rain water and wastewater production continues.

ESSENTIAL TRANSPORTATION TOOL

The tram, which has become one of the indispensable means of transportation for Kocaeli residents, will reach a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters with its new line. With the 3-kilometer single-line warehouse area, the single-line length of the tram will increase to 23,4 kilometers, and the number of stops will increase to 16 with Kuruçeşme station. With the project, which will add convenience and comfort to the lives of citizens, access to the center of Izmit, Sekapark and the bus station will be faster.
