President Soyer stated that they organized three important events for the 100th anniversary and said, “We have planned many events in İzmir on the 100th anniversary of the Independence, to increase harmony, to reinforce the achievements of the National Struggle and the Republic, peace and democracy. First of all, we are carrying out the Victory and Remembrance March from Kocatepe to Izmir. This journey will start on the evening of 25 August with a 14-kilometer night walk from Çakırözü Village to Kocatepe. Our group will attend the commemoration ceremony to be held in Kocatepe, where Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk conducted the administration and administration of the War of Independence. Then, on the anniversary of the historical victory, we will walk from Kocatepe to Izmir. Our team, which will include university students, athletes and professional mountaineers, will walk the 400-kilometer Victory and Peace Road, where the struggle for freedom and independence was sealed with a unique victory, in 14 days, on the same route that our ancestors passed. We will ensure that we arrive on time for the liberation ceremonies of Izmir, which will be held in Kordon on the morning of September 9th. That evening, we will hold the biggest celebration of İzmir and Turkey in Gündoğdu Square. I do not want to say anything about this magnificent celebration as it is all a surprise. But let me repeat; We will be holding the most magnificent celebration in the history of Turkey. “The route of the new century needs to be drawn”
Saying that they will hold the Second Century Economics Congress in İzmir in February 2023, President Soyer stated that this meeting, in which many institutions will attend and the Turkish economy will be rebuilt, will be one of the most important milestones in the history of our country. Soyer said, “The 100th anniversary of the Economics Congress is very important for this reason; remember, the Economics Congress held between 17 February and 4 March is actually the destiny of the economic policies of the Republican Turkey. Not only that. The National Sample Exhibition and fairs organized after it became a part of İzmir's identity, even the most important part. Think about a Republic, there is no dream for the future. Lausanne is not finished yet. In such an environment, Atatürk convenes the Economics Congress in İzmir and determines the economic policies that Turkey will implement after the establishment of the Republic. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Ertuğrul Tugay shared the details of the Victory and Commemoration March that will extend from Afyon to İzmir and said, “Akşehir Western Front Headquarters Museum, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms planned their final preparations for the great offensive, and the Caucasus in particular before the Great Offensive. The towns of Dereçine and Yeşilçiftlik, which embraced our glorious army, including the 14st Division, the Shuhut Atatürk House, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spent his last night before moving to Kocatepe, the XNUMX-kilometer Victory Road, where we will march to Kocatape together with citizens from all over Turkey.
