Groundbreaking for the Section of AFRAY Between the ANS Campus and the City Center

Afyonkarahisar Mayor Mehmet Zeybek spoke at the City Council and answered criticism and questions. Zeybek said, “There is a difference between seeing and looking. "When you don't want to see them, you don't see anyone," he said. President Zeybek AFRAY said that the foundation of the part between the ANS campus and the city center will be laid this month or next month.

Zeybek was also associated with the high-speed train regarding Afray by the ministry. But despite this, either this month or in May, together with our Minister of Transport, we will lay the foundation of the section between the university and the center.”

Zeybek stated that they wanted to connect the university and the city center with the suburban line with the AFRAY Project: “A second parallel line would be drawn to the State Railways line behind us. We were going to do this to the State Railways stations as a municipality. The project was tendered. It was a project tender. The company that received the project has completed the project work. When he came to the presentation, I said that if I were a student, I would not use this line. He asked why. None of our fellow students get off at the station behind the rectorate and walk 700-800 hundred meters or one kilometer to the classrooms. It has to be at the front of the university. We were going to make a station at the entrance of the rectorate, where the current minibuses are, with a scissor from the dormitories area. We were also going to build a station at the end of the university, namely Bacım Sultan. The suburban line between here and Ali Çetinkaya Station will take students to and from. So we wanted to connect them with the city. Probably in April or at the beginning of May, our Minister of Transport will come and we will lay the foundations of our AFRAY project, which will work between this university and the station.”
