The new Tourrider also incorporates advanced engine technologies such as flexible high-pressure injection X-Pulse, intercooler, exhaust gas recirculation and SCR (selective catalytic reduction). Power transmission in the bus is provided by the Allison WTB 500R automatic transmission with torque converter, which has proven itself over the years in North America.
