As a result of the overturning of the wagons derailed by the landslide over the culvert in the Sarılar District of Tekirdağ's Çorlu district, where the catastrophic train accident occurred, the train accident that strangled our country and burns us. I would like to express my condolences to the relatives of Mercy from Allah to those who have passed away in the accident. The ground hardening of the Railways in the Landslide Areas should be made by making it resistant to four seasons and its control should be examined and approved by the experts of the work.
In the railways, situations such as landslides occur frequently, the controls on the rails are carried out regularly only by TCDD workers who do this work, and the guards intervened when these officials reported such deterioration in the rails to the necessary units, especially the mechanics. But within the State Railways in Turkey, there are currently 59 road watchman. New personnel are not recruited to replace the retired guardian. We recommend that the number of Road Guards be increased according to need.
The necessity of reopening the Railways Vocational High Schools and the urgent need for service to meet these personnel needs has emerged once again. More importance should be attached to the Faculty of Rail Systems and Vocational Schools.
It is also wrong to discredit Railways of such accidents.
It would be wrong to see this accident only in the event of disaster. However, it is not acceptable to pay attention to the high speed train lines and ignore the normal train journey. The indicator of this was to postpone maintenance and repair work on this line. Tender was canceled because the appropriation allocation order was not issued.
Hoping that this kind of hand will not repeat the accidents, we wish mercy from our citizens who have lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery for the wounded.
