Orienteering Türkiye Championship was held in Çorum on 19-21 April 2024. İnegöl Belediyespor Orienteering team made its mark in the Championship, in which 81 clubs from across Türkiye participated with 1250 athletes. In the championship, which witnessed competitive competitions, our orange-dark blue representative won 5 trophies and became the Turkish Championship.
SUCCESS DID NOT STAY ON THE Podium
This success of İnegöl Belediyespor club, which finished the orienteering league at the top by winning 19 medals in total in the championship, did not stop at the podium. 7 athletes from the İnegöl representative team were invited to represent our country in the European Championship to be held in Poland. 7 athletes were invited to the national team camp.
HALF OF THE NATIONAL TEAM IS FROM INEGOL
With this invitation, half of the Turkish Orienteering National Team consisted of athletes from İnegöl. This success was a source of great pride for İnegöl Municipality Sports Club. İnegöl Mayor Alper Taban congratulated the athletes and coach Tarık Şeker and wished them continued success. Taban said that they believe that the athletes will represent our country in the best way possible with the national jersey.
