Growth in Poultry Farming

TURKSTAT announced February data on Poultry Production.

In February, compared to the same month of the previous year, chicken egg production increased by 7,3 percent, the number of slaughtered chickens increased by 13,1 percent, chicken meat production increased by 14,6 percent, and turkey meat production increased by 31,2 percent.

In the January-February period, chicken egg production increased by 6,8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the same period, the number of chickens slaughtered increased by 9,4 percent, while chicken meat production increased by 10,1 percent and turkey meat production increased by 32,2 percent.

Meanwhile, chicken meat production, which was 203 thousand 64 tons in the previous month, decreased by 0,7 percent in February and became 201 thousand 680 tons.

Chicken egg production, which was 1 billion 838 million 422 thousand units in the previous month, decreased by 5,7 percent in February and became 1 billion 733 million 464 thousand units.
