Following the 31 March Local Government General Elections, the first meeting of the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Council 2024-2029 service period was held under the chairmanship of the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Architect Ferdi Zeyrek.
Thanking all the people of Manisa who helped us make history after 74 years, and congratulating the elected Mayors and fellow council members, Mayor Zeyrek said, “As I always emphasize, there are no losers in this election; The winner of this election is 1,5 million people from Manisa. "We will work for Manisa, which is the apple of our country's eye with its history, culture and location," he said.
Reminding that they will celebrate the International Manisa Mesir Paste Festival, one of the well-established festivals of our country, in the week of April 23-28 this year, Mayor Zeyrek said, “Our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, will also attend our hairdressing ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, April 28. "I already invite you and all the people of Manisa to our festival, which we will celebrate in a carnival atmosphere," he said.

On the other hand, in the last part of his speech, Mayor Zeyrek touched upon a subject that the people of Manisa were eagerly waiting for and said, "In the last part of my speech, we will convene the MASKİ General Assembly on Thursday, April 2, at 1 for the first 18 tons of water 18.00 TL and card meter regulation, which is our election promise and which the people of Manisa are eagerly waiting for." I would like to state here that we will call an Extraordinary Meeting. We stand behind our word and will respond to the expectations of our fellow citizens. I want no one to doubt this. We will implement our projects one by one to bring happiness, peace and smiles to the people of Manisa.
