Muğla Metropolitan Municipality hosted the 6th International Anchovy Festival this year.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Gürün attended the festival held in the City Square and addressed the citizens, stating that Muğla is the city of peace, love and tolerance.
Emphasizing that different cultures come together at the festival, President Gürün continued his speech as follows:
“When we started the Anchovy Festival, my most important goal was to bring everyone together. Our country desperately needs peace, love and tranquility. Muğla is a city that can truly set an example for Turkey as a city of peace, love and tolerance. Black Sea Association brought together zeybek and horon, Muğla tarhana and anchovy. Here we need to derive much richness from our differences. "Menteşe City hosted the first major event after the opening of the Square."
