The draw for the FIBA Under-29 World Cup, which will be held in Istanbul between 7 June and 17 July, has been made.
Turkey, which was in the first pot of the draw, was paired with Argentina, New Zealand and Italy in Group C.

Stadiums, large sports halls, swimming pools and facilities continue to rise all over our country. The Basketball Development Center under construction is a truly special facility. It will be a big complex. The basketball players of the future will grow here. "We will receive a strong return on our investments in sports in the future."

Emphasizing that they have successfully organized many organizations, Minister Bak said, “We have captured a very good generation. '12 Giant Men' received a very good response in our country. Our President values young people very much. I am sure that our athletes will gain very important experiences in this organization. The Basketball Development Center we are building is an important goal for Turkish basketball. We will be opening it very soon. Important organizations and camps will take place in this center. Turkey will have an important place in basketball. “I would like to thank our President and everyone who contributed to this center.” he said.

FIBA President Sheikh Saud Ali Al Thani expressed his happiness to be a part of this important event and said, “Turkey has hosted many successes of FIBA. Young athletes start their international careers with this event. I'm sure they will never forget this event. The USA-Spain final in the previous tournament was very good. I'm sure the same moments will happen in Istanbul too. We know the value of Sinan Erdem Sports Hall. “I find it valuable that the stars of the future are here.” made his assessment.

TBF President Hidayet Türkoğlu stated that they were happy to host such an organization and said:

As a result of the draw, the groups were formed as follows:
Group A: Spain, Lithuania, Philippines, Puerto Rico
Group B: China, USA, France, Guinea
Group C: Argentina, Türkiye, New Zealand, Italy
Group D: Egypt, Germany, Canada, Australia
It was announced in the organization that the matches will be played at Sinan Erdem and Ahmet Cömert Sports Halls.
