Dr. Faruk Güler emphasized that after the Aegean Free Zone reached its full occupancy rate, they started to seek to establish a new free zone and after a 2-year search, Izmir Bergama was determined as the most suitable location. Emphasizing that 20 thousand people will be employed in the Western Anatolia Free Zone when it reaches full occupancy. Faruk Güler emphasized that thanks to this investment, young people in the region will have jobs and economic development will be achieved.

THE FIRST FREE ZONE WITH 5G INFRASTRUCTURE

Dr. Güler said that there will be an infrastructure in which production will be made using 5G in the Western Anatolia Free Zone, and BASBAŞ will be the first region in Turkey with such an infrastructure among the free zones.

Dr. said that they are trying to bring foreign investors to the free zone, that investors who do not have the idea of ​​investing in Turkey will not come to Izmir, and that they first introduced and convinced Turkey in this regard. 4 COMPANIES ARE STARTING PRODUCTION THIS YEAR

BASBAŞ Rental Manager Volkan Gezen, who gave IGC and Dokuz Eylül Newspaper managers a field tour in the Western Anatolia Free Zone and gave information about the works, informed that 4 companies will start production in the region this year. Stating that the Western Anatolia Free Zone, established at the intersection of Turkey's most important sea, land and railway connections, has a total area of ​​2.5 million square meters, Gezen said: “As the first region with 5G infrastructure among the free zones in Turkey, it is sustainable and environmentally friendly.” We adopt an understanding. Our kitchen for 500 people has been established here to serve the entire region. We are starting the construction of the food production facility that will produce meals for approximately 5 thousand people over the next 6-6 years. In addition, the Joint Health and Safety Unit building, which will serve within BASBAŞ, has been completed. There will also be a 400 thousand square meter green area and sports center. We are also bringing the Technology Center to life by establishing serious partnerships with very large companies in the region where banks will also be located. “We will also build our social facility, which overlooks the region and will include a restaurant.”
