Underwater Cleaning at Orduzu Pınarbaşı Pond!

Underwater Search and Rescue teams affiliated with Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and Environmental Protection and Control Department teams carried out underwater cleaning work in Orduzu Pınarbaşı Pond.

Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Head Mustafa Katipoğlu stated that they removed a lot of waste from Orduzu Pınarbaşı Pond within the scope of the works and warned citizens to be more sensitive to nature. Stating that harmful wastes thrown into nature continue to exist for tens or even hundreds of years, Katipoğlu underlined that this situation seriously damages nature, living life and the ecosystem.

Stating that Orduzu Pond was cleaned by teams, Katipoğlu said, “The pond is being cleaned by carrying out a joint work with Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department. The pollution in these waters, which are polluted by humans, poses a serious danger to the creatures living there. Unfortunately, many creatures lose their lives due to plastic waste in water. Our diver friends do serious work here every year. Our teams collect serious waste. We pollute nature with our own hands. "Let's be sensitive to our environment and act sensitively," he said.
