GIANT INVESTMENTS IN INFRASTRUCTURE
As a result of the reports prepared by the Metropolitan Municipality teams, it was determined that the biggest problem of the city was infrastructure deficiencies, and important projects were implemented to eliminate these problems. The Metropolitan Municipality, which first tried to obtain financing from domestic credit institutions such as Iller Bank, tried to obtain financial resources from the World Bank and other foreign institutions when it could not get positive results from these initiatives. A very important part of these projects was carried out in tourism cities such as Bodrum and Fethiye, which are Muğla's gateway to the world. Very large infrastructure projects such as Bodrum Turgutreis Wastewater Treatment Plant, Gümbet Gümüşlük Wastewater Treatment Plant capacity increase, Bodrum Sewage Line, Ferhiye Ölüdeniz Treatment Plant construction, Hisarönü-Ovacık Sewage Line, Fethiye WWTP capacity increase projects were completed and put into service for the citizens. Again, important works were carried out at many different points such as Milas Ören sewage and treatment facility, Türkevleri, Bozalan Çökertme drinking water, Ula, Kavaklıdere sewage lines, Datça Betçe drinking water line, Marmaris Bozburun peninsula drinking water project.
With all these investments, 2014 thousand 199 cubic meters of water could be treated per day in 430 regarding the disposal of wastewater, which is of great importance for preserving the green and blue of the city, and today 60 thousand 319 cubic meters of water is treated per day, an increase of 697%. In this way, unhealthy water is prevented from mixing with nature and especially the sea. With the work carried out especially in Bodrum, which has a large infrastructure deficiency, the rate of utilizing the infrastructure in the coastal regions increased from 46% to 91%.
While significant investments were made in drinking water by the Metropolitan Municipality throughout the province, the length of the drinking water line, which was 2014 thousand 9 kilometers in 869, increased to 11 thousand 454 kilometers.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality made significant investments in roads during the 10-year period. AGRICULTURAL SUPPORT CONTINUED TO GROW
