First in Turkey from Bursa Osmangazi… Barem is put into service

Osmangazi Municipality Care and Rehabilitation Center, built on a total area of 20 thousand 140 square meters in Demirtaş, was brought to Bursa as a first project in Turkey, with its Disabled Care Center (OBAM), Alzheimer Care Center (ALBAM) and Nursing Home sections.

Osmangazi Municipality, which has brought BAREM, which is shown as the Hospice of Bursa with its size and functionality, to the district and carried its service quality far beyond the classical municipality approach, has opened the Nursing Home and Alzheimer's Care Center sections within this important facility to the Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş. It was put into service with a ceremony held with the participation of .

In addition to Minister Göktaş, the opening ceremony hosted by Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar was attended by Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, AK Party Bursa Deputies Emine Yavuz Gözgeç and Refik Özen, Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services Zafer Tarıkdaroğlu, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, Osmangazi District Governor Ali Partal, AK Party Osmangazi District Chairman Adnan Kurtuluş, provincial directors and citizens attended.

DÜNDAR: “WE ARE WORKING TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL”

Speaking at the opening of BAREM, Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar stated that they attach great importance to social services as a municipality and said, "We approach social municipalism with an awareness that goes beyond social aid to all segments of the society and takes into account all the needs of the family, women and young people. With the understanding of 'He who sleeps full while his neighbor is hungry is not one of us', we have implemented exemplary projects so that all members of the society can live a peaceful life in Osmangazi. With the investments we made to facilitate access to health services, we increased the number of Family Health Centers in our municipality to 28. We work with all our strength to maximize the quality of life of every individual, from the center to our remotest neighborhood in the countryside. At work; "BAREM, where we came together for its opening, is the best example of our diligent work," he said.

“BAREM IS A FIRST IN TURKEY”

Underlining that BAREM is a first in Turkey with its size and functionality, Mayor Dündar said, “Our center has a nursing home with a capacity of 200 beds, an Alzheimer's Care Center serving 150 people, and a Disabled Care Center serving 150 people. We had previously opened our Disabled Care Center within the complex with the participation of our Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş. Now we are opening the Nursing Home and Alzheimer Care Center sections. Our most important goal is for our elderly, who give us strength with their presence, to live a healthy life. That's why every need for our elderly has been taken into consideration in our nursing home section with a capacity of 200 beds. Another service we offer under the same roof is the Alzheimer's Care Center, which can serve 150 people at the same time. Unfortunately, Alzheimer's and similar types of dementia, which affect millions of people around the world, are becoming an increasingly bigger problem with the increase in the elderly population. Although the level of awareness about Alzheimer's disease has increased in our country, many people still do not have enough information about this disease. At this point, the care and support services needed by individuals with Alzheimer's disease and their families are of great importance. "At this point, I think that the Alzheimer's Care Center that we opened will fill an important deficiency in Bursa," he said.

In her speech, AK Party Bursa Deputy Emine Yavuz Gözgeç stated that, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, AK Party municipalities are achieving a new success story in local governments every day and said, “We have just opened the mother arms of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality in Yunuseli neighbourhood. Now, we are at the center that serves Alzheimer's patients and the elderly, which was established here today by Osmangazi Municipality, touching people, the elderly and children. We got to know municipality, road, infrastructure and investment services, but also social and real municipalism with the AK Party. "Hopefully, we will continue on our way with Alinur Aktaş in the Metropolitan Municipality and Mustafa Dündar in Osmangazi and continue with real municipalism," he said.

Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş said in his speech, “Humans are the most honorable being of all creatures. He deserves the best and the most beautiful of everything. He wants many qualities such as love and respect to occur in the world in himself and in the society he lives in. The following advice given by Sheikh Edebali to Osmangazi is explained. The words of wisdom we see in the advice of keeping people alive so that the state can live show today's world and us what we should actually consider as a priority. Our elders are our greatest values, who build a bridge between yesterday and today and enable us to carry our traditions and customs to the future. Our main goal is to ensure that people who have spent most of their lives serving the society integrate into society and become more active in a way that befits human dignity when they get older and need care. Under the leadership of our President, our state has been providing important services such as home care, day and boarding care for the elderly for the last 22 years. These services are provided by our Ministry of Family and Social Services, municipalities, private nursing homes and various non-governmental organizations. I hope that the Care, Rehabilitation and Training Center built by Osmangazi Municipality will be beneficial to Bursa. I congratulate our Mayor of Osmangazi for this beautiful project.” he said.

AKTAŞ: “NOTHING IS THE SAME ANYMORE”

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that they were happy to open a beautiful service of Osmangazi Municipality in the field of social municipality. Pointing out that municipalities have provided important services in recent years, Aktaş said, “Until 20-25 years ago, municipalities could neither build mosques, schools nor other services. They couldn't even provide material support. Municipality consisted only of classical services such as roads, water and green areas. Praise be to God, our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in love with this country, came out and said 'nothing will ever be the same again'. Thank God, he paved the way for our municipalities with the decisions he took and had made. Today, our Osmangazi Municipality is proud to open another beautiful service worthy of its name and reputation. In this sense, we are very happy as both Osmangazi and Bursa. In a city of 3,5 million people, these centers are a necessity. I would like to thank our Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar and his team, who are the hosts of this beautiful project.” he said.

After the speeches, the prayer was read, and the opening ribbon of the center was cut. Mayor Dündar presented a calligraphy painting to Minister Göktaş in memory of the day. After the opening, Minister Göktaş and the accompanying protocol visited BAREM and spent a while with the elderly there. sohbet He.
