'Smart City' Precautions Against Possible Negativities in İnegöl

İnegöl Municipality has implemented the project that will bring İnegöl one step closer to the smart cities league. During the period, the Monitoring and Evaluation Center, the foundations of which were laid by laying fiber lines, implementing safe parking in 48 children's playgrounds, and installing artificial intelligence-supported cameras at 11 intersections in the main arteries, was put into service. With this center located in the İnegöl Municipality New Service Building, the city will now be monitored instantly on a 7/24 basis and all disruptions, especially traffic, will be instantly reported to the field teams by the operators in the center and intervened. In this way, it is aimed to eliminate problems such as parking violations, pavement violations, pedestrian crossing violations and to ensure a smooth flow in city traffic, while at the same time it is expected to put an end to negative behaviors in public living areas.

A PRECIOUS STEP AT THE POINT OF SMART CITY TRANSFORMATION

At the Monitoring and Evaluation Center, which was established by İnegöl Municipality Information Technology Directorate and will be controlled by the Police Department, Mayor Alper Taban held a press conference and introduced the center today. Making a statement to the press, Mayor Taban said: “We are together today to introduce an important center of ours to the public and to share our excitement. The Monitoring and Evaluation Center is a center that we set as a target at the beginning of the semester. I would also like to express here that it is an important preliminary preparation for the city, especially at the point of Smart City Transformation. As far as we can see, certain cities and certain countries in the world have taken important steps in this regard. Our country is at a very good point in this regard and is walking towards the goal step by step. "We, as İnegöl, thought that such a center was important at this point, especially in terms of controlling and monitoring our increasing traffic, as well as tracking the various movements of the citizens in the city."

18 KM FIBER LINE HAS BEEN BUILT, 50 KM WILL BE COMPLETED

“First of all, we tried to set goals for ourselves at this point. Installing cameras is just one aspect of the job here. We first started laying fiber lines to establish the infrastructure of the business. A total of approximately 50 km of fiber lines were targeted in our city, of which 18 km were prepared. “We will continue to work on the remaining part in the next 5 years.”

THE CITY WILL BE MONITORED 365/7, 24 DAYS WITH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SUPPORTED CAMERAS

“We also want to eliminate the issues that cause increased traffic in the city. Hopefully, we will achieve this with our Monitoring and Evaluation Center. Here, we will be monitoring our city with smart cameras, fully supported by artificial intelligence. Here, you will see technology that combines smart and artificial intelligence technology instead of the ordinary cameras we know. Our personnel working here will also be monitored 7/24, 365 days a year. "Thanks to this center, we aim to prevent factors that cause traffic problems such as parking violations, area violations, lane violations, sidewalk violations, and pedestrian crossing violations, with the intervention of our operator here."

11 INTERSECTIONS WILL BE FOLLOWED IN THE FIRST STAGE

“Our Monitoring and Evaluation Center was prepared by our Information Technology Directorate and will be operated under the control of our Police Department. In the first stage, the main arteries of the city were taken as basis. Especially the centers where we live densely. A total of 11 intersections were equipped with fixed and mobile artificial intelligence-supported cameras. In this way, all negative behaviors in our city will be transferred to the field teams by the operators and a rapid intervention will be realized.”

48 SAFE PARKS WILL BE MONITORED INSTANTLY

“We used the concept of safe parking during the period. We started installing cameras in our parks. We have cameras in all the new parks we have built, and cameras have been installed in old parks, with priority given to areas with problems. We will now be able to instantly watch the images of our 48 parks in this center. We want all our citizens in the city to participate in the concept we call common life. Our aim here is not to offend, upset or punish anyone. But we have established these systems due to certain needs in crowded cities.”

“WE ARE EXPERIENCED THE HAPPINESS OF CREATING SOMEONE'S DREAM BUSINESSES”

“We are in the election field mail. I see that some political parties make similar statements. Today, we are happy to bring someone's dreams to life. These systems are systems that require long-term investment. "Hopefully, our cities will gradually move into the smart city concept, step by step, with the systems of our police on the one hand and the systems of the municipalities on the other."
