Revolution in Coding from Ordu: KOD-AT Training Set

Ordu Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Industrial Automation Technologies Department students generate income for the school by producing the coding training set registered under the name "KOD-AT", prepared to improve their coding skills.

Ordu Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Industrial Automation Technologies Department students are designing a coding training set using a microcontroller domestic try-and-build card produced with the support of the Turkey Technology Team (T3) Foundation as an R&D project. The coding training set, registered under the name "KOD-AT", generates income for the school.

Students are mass producing the training set, which was given a registration certificate by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office last year under the name "KOD-AT".

Industrial Automation Technologies Field Chief Hasan Boruza said that they are one of the few schools in Turkey that carry out R&D work and that they modeled the structure, which is called the brain in the training set, from which they will assign codes, on the microcontroller card developed by the T3 Foundation. Boruza said that they want to see local and national products in every field. he stated.

“The try-and-do coding training set is unique”

With the coding set, which can be used in a wide range from primary school to university, coding practices can be carried out from basic level to advanced level.

Many studies can be done with the coding training set, such as 37-piece sensor set and applications, image and sound processing, wi-fi remote control mobile applications. Hundreds of applications of current technologies can also be made in the set.

The set is sold to every institution where coding is provided through the school's revolving fund. In addition, sales are also made to science and art centres. Students also earn a certain amount of income because they work in the production stages as long as the set is sold.

Students are happy to be able to implement the project

Explaining that he joined the project team voluntarily, 12th grade student Nazım Kerim Çelik said, “We have completed the project we have been working on for about 1,5 years. We are happy to reach the conclusion. This set was also a great opportunity for us to improve.” said.

Çelik said that they also earned income by selling the training set to many schools and institutions.
