Projects to Bring the High Speed Train Network to the Black Sea have Started

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they are working intensively to make the high-speed train network even more widespread throughout Turkey, and announced that they have recently opened the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train line, and now they have started projects that will bring the high-speed train network to the Black Sea. .

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they will prevent urban traffic on the route where 32 thousand 500 vehicles pass daily with the Giresun Port Different Level Interchange, the foundation of which they laid, and said, “Thus, we will save a total of 330 million lira annually with our project. "We will contribute to the protection of nature by reducing carbon emissions by 610 tons," he said. Uraloğlu also underlined that they continue the construction of 18 projects worth 219 billion 19 million liras in Giresun.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Uraloğlu laid the foundation of Giresun Port Different Level Intersection, which will significantly reduce Giresun's urban traffic, together with Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır. Minister Uraloğlu, who started his speech here by celebrating March 8 Women's Day, stated that Giresun is a city that increases its appeal day by day with its unique nature and rich culture. Uraloğlu said, “However, before 2002, Giresun could not adequately utilize these riches because its transportation facilities were underdeveloped and inadequate. Until our AK Party Governments, led by our President, came to power. "As the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we have invested 22 billion 70 million lira in Giresun's transportation and communication infrastructure in the last 415 years," he said.

“We Introduced Giresun Residents to Trust and Comfort”

Minister Uraloğlu pointed out that there were only 2002 kilometers of divided roads in Giresun in 26, and said that they increased the length of the divided roads to 128 kilometers, and the length of the bituminous hot coated road from 12 kilometers to 205 kilometers. Explaining that they improved 214 kilometers of roads, built 25 tunnels with a length of 590 thousand 14 meters and 5 bridges with a length of 778 thousand 125 meters, Uraloğlu said, “We introduced the people of Giresun to trust and comfort. Under the instructions of our President, we quickly completed the Black Sea Coastal Road and put it into service in 2007. In this way, movement and abundance came from Samsun to Sarp Border Gate. We completed 15 tunnels on the coastal road and put them into service for our people. "My brothers from Giresun have forgotten the sufferings experienced on winding roads," he said.

“18 Projects Costing 219 Billion 19 Million Liras Are Continued in Giresun”

Stating that Giresun's highway was completely defeated, Uraloğlu said that they restored the Ağır Bridge and put the Tirebolu-Kürtün-Torul Road into service. Reminding that they built the Eğribel Tunnel on the Giresun-Dereli-Sivas Road and Şebinkarahisar road, which is the important transportation corridor of Giresun, Uraloğlu said, “You all know the difficulties of transportation in the harsh conditions of the winter season in the Eğribel Pass, which reaches an altitude of 2 thousand 200 meters. With the double-tube tunnel we built, we have provided uninterrupted transportation with comfort during your travels. By eliminating 30 bends, we shortened the route by 6,5 km. By improving the geometry of the road, we reduced the travel time at Eğribel Pass from 25 minutes in normal time to 5 minutes. Again, we completed the 2,4 kilometer long Keşap Köprülü Junction, which we designed as Single Road – Bituminous Hot Coating, and put it into service this January. With the opening of our bridge junction to traffic, we have provided entry and exit to the Black Sea Coastal Road from the west in Keşap. Currently, with a project cost of 18 billion 219 million liras; "We are continuing a total of 19 highway projects such as Dereli Road, Suşehri-Koyulhisar Junction-Şebinkarahisar Road, Çat Bridge, Çaldağ-İnişdibi road," he said.

Annual Savings of 330 Million Liras Will Be Achieved

Minister Uraloğlu underlined that the Giresun Port Different Level Interchange, the foundation of which was laid today, is a very important project that will strengthen the city's highway network and relieve urban traffic. Noting that the Black Sea Coastal Road is of great importance in terms of providing road connections between the Caucasian countries in the east, the Turkish Republics, Central Asia and Russia and the west, Uraloğlu said, “Our coastal road, located on the historical Silk Road route, is also the gateway of the Black Sea Region to the world.” . Our road, which connects many provinces, districts, towns and ports, also contributes greatly to the regional economy. Taking into account the traffic density here, we continue to build additional intersections on the route where needed. In this context, with the Giresun Port Different Level Intersection, we will eliminate the traffic congestion on the route where an average of 32 thousand 500 vehicles pass daily. "We will provide fast, safe and comfortable transportation to the Black Sea Coastal Road, the city center and the Port," he said. Explaining that the 1,6 km long project will provide a high standard and comfortable passage by taking the existing coastal road into an underpass, Uraloğlu underlined that with the commissioning of the intersection, they will deactivate the signaling system in the region and ensure the flow of traffic without stop-start. Uraloğlu said, “Thus, with our project, we will save a total of 322 million lira annually, including 8 million lira from time and 330 million lira from fuel. "We will contribute to the protection of nature by reducing the carbon emissions of vehicles that harm the environment by 610 tons," he said.

“We took our citizens from Giresun to the skies”

Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that they made significant investments in all transportation modes to Giresun and reminded that they opened Ordu-Giresun Airport in 2015. Reminding that the airport in question was removed from the investment program in 2002, Uraloğlu said, “But there has been stability in this country since 2002. There are AK Party governments. We had a comprehensive study and feasibility study done. We said that this airport will be built, and we broke new ground in Turkey by establishing Ordu-Giresun Airport on the sea. We took our citizens from Ordu and Giresun to the place they deserved, to the skies. We operate 66 weekly flights on domestic and international lines from Ordu-Giresun Airport. "We hosted approximately 2023 million passengers in 1," he said.

High Speed Train Line to the Black Sea

Stating that they have made the high-speed train network even more widespread throughout Turkey, Uraloğlu announced that they have recently opened the Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train line and now they have started projects that will bring the high-speed train network to the Black Sea. Underlining that they will bring high-speed trains to Samsun with the Kırıkkale-Çorum-Samsun High Speed Train Line, Uraloğlu said, “We will hold the tender for the 120-kilometer Kırıkkale-Çorum route this year. Afterwards, we will implement the 509 kilometer long Samsun-Sarp Railway project. Hopefully, we will start the study project work on this line within this year. "When this project comes to life, we will introduce the railway to all Eastern Black Sea Region provinces, together with Giresun," he said.

“We will continue to develop Giresun with our projects that we work on step by step”

Minister Uraloğlu underlined that they have been carrying out work and service policy under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan since 2002. Stating that the current mayor Aytekin Şenlikoğlu, who is a candidate again from the AK Party for Giresun Mayor, is a very successful mayor with his social projects, Uraloğlu said, “Giresun experienced change and transformation in every field with him. He produced important projects in many fields. No one, but no one, can compete with the AK Party's understanding of service politics. I wholeheartedly believe that with your support, we will continue to show every effort and determination necessary to achieve the goals we have set for the development of Giresun, the development of society and the Turkish Century. Hopefully, after the March 31 elections, we will implement all the projects we planned with our President Aytekin Şenlikoğlu together with our Minister of Industry and Technology. "We will continue to develop, strengthen and increase the welfare level of Giresun with our projects that we work on step by step," he said.
