President Erdoğan: Lasting Peace Without a Fair Solution is Not Possible

ANKARA (IGFA) – President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a joint press conference with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas.

Noting that nearly 32 thousand Palestinians were martyred in the attacks carried out by Israel against innocent people, President Erdoğan said, “Nearly 2 million Palestinians had to leave their homes. 2,3 million Palestinians cannot access food. Israel massacres innocent people by dropping bombs on them. We have been witnessing one of the greatest barbarisms of the last century for 151 days. With the unlimited support of Western powers, Netanyahu and his administration are committing open genocide against the Palestinian people. "I express my condolences to the Palestinian people on behalf of my country and my nation," he said.

Stating that the biggest reason for Israel's spoiledness is the support given by the Western powers for their sins in the holocaust, President Erdoğan noted that the Islamic world's lack of unity also has a big part in it.

Erdoğan stated that the best answer to Israel's oppression is to ensure the unity of the Palestinians and said, “We are always ready to do our part. "We will continue every effort to increase the welfare of the Palestinian people," he said. Erdoğan evaluated: "Netanyahu and his murder accomplices will definitely answer for every drop of blood they shed before the law and social conscience."

ABBAS: WE CARE ABOUT TURKEY'S ROLE

Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas stated that they talked about what Israel could do to prevent the crimes of genocide and massacre committed against Palestine and said, “The State of Israel manages all kinds of brutality. Attacks against holy things against both Muslims and Christians continue. "We are about to enter the month of Ramadan and settlers are attacking the Al-Aqsa Mosque," he said. Abbas said, “Palestine becoming a permanent member of the UN is something we desire. Especially European states should recognize Palestine. Consensus on implementing a roadmap is important. "We care about Turkey's role," he said.
