President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the public at the rally organized by his party in Van, Beşyol Square.
Emphasizing that they want to see Van on their side in this struggle, President Erdoğan said to the citizens in the area, “Give such a voice from here that there will be no one left around Lake Van who cannot hear it.” Van, the crossroads of civilizations, beautiful in heart, beautiful in words, beautiful in itself. Are we ready and determined for the cities of the Turkish Century on March 31? Do we prefer real municipalism on March 31? Are we ready to go door to door with the main level, women's branches and young people until the election day for this? Are we ready to paint the entire map of Türkiye, including Van, with the colors of the People's Alliance? "Hopefully, we will turn March 31 into a 'festival of national will' before the Ramadan holiday comes." he said.
Receiving a "yes" response from the citizens in the area, President Erdoğan noted that they would work hard day and night together until the election.
President Erdoğan pointed out that behind every promise they made to the nation, behind every vision and program they put forward, were the works and services they brought to the country, and explained that each city and vision received its share of these works and services. Stating that they made a public investment of 168 billion in Van, President Erdoğan said that they built 9 thousand 974 classrooms in education and expanded the university, increasing the number of faculties from 9 to 19.
Stating that they opened higher education dormitory buildings with a capacity of 8 people in Youth and Sports, President Erdoğan said that they built 300 sports facilities and that they supported the needy people of Van with a resource of 77 billion liras in social aid. Stating that they continue the construction of the social service campus for the disabled, President Erdoğan said, “We have built 21 health facilities, including 500 hospitals with a total of 400 beds, including a 1562-bed health center and a 19-bed regional hospital. We have 104 more health facilities under construction. We have completed the project of our Van City Hospital, which has a bed capacity of 15. “We will be going out to tender soon.” he said.
Reminding that they completed 25 thousand 736 houses through TOKİ and delivered them to the rightful owners, President Erdoğan stated that the construction of 2 thousand 299 houses is continuing.
Stating that they have rebuilt the settlements in Van, which were destroyed by the 2011 earthquake, whose pain is still heartbreaking, President Erdoğan said, “How is Erciş? So, how is Edremit? In urban transformation, we completed the transformation of 13 thousand 820 independent sections that we determined as risky buildings in our city. Edremit has already become a completely different place. While there were 2 wastewater treatment plants within the provincial borders when we came to power, today we serve 8 percent of the municipal population with 84 wastewater treatment plants. We have completed 10 of our 6 public garden projects in Van and we are continuing the construction of three of them. One of them is in the project phase. We prepared the Van Lake Basin Protection Action Plan and started to implement it. "We increased the length of Van's divided road, which we took over from 36 kilometers in transportation, to 597 kilometers." he said.
“WE CONTINUE THE PROJECT WORKS OF THE SECOND TUBE TUNNEL”
Reminding that they opened the 2-meter-long Kuskunkıran 306 Tube Tunnel on the Van-Tatvan road to traffic in two directions, President Erdoğan said that they are continuing the project work on the second tube tunnel, which is the continuation of this, 1 meters long.
President Erdoğan said, “We hope to complete the Van Hakkari Yüksekova Junction road, which includes the 3-meter-long double-tube Güzel Dere Tunnel, the Van ring road between Özalp Junction and Erciş Junction, and the Doğu Beyazıt-Çaldıran road, Erciş city crossing, this year. In addition, the remaining part of the Van ring road, Erciş Muradiye Çaldıran road, Van Özalp Kapıköy road, Edremit Gevaş junction road, Adilcevaz Erciş road, Van Muradiye junction road next year. "We aim to complete the Erciş Patnos road next year," he said.
“INVESTMENTS DON'T END WITH EXPLAINING”
Stating that they have built 5 dams, 18 irrigation facilities, 134 flood protection facilities, 5 ponds and 4 hydroelectric power plants in Van in agriculture and forestry, President Erdoğan noted that the construction of 42,5 dams that will have a water accumulation volume of 11 million cubic meters is continuing. President Erdoğan stated that they provided farmers with an annual income increase of 21 billion lira by opening 374 thousand decares of agricultural land to irrigation with the irrigation projects they have built in 3 years, and said that they will open 7 thousand decares of fertile land to irrigation with 165 irrigation facilities under construction.
Stating that they provided agricultural grant support worth 26 billion liras to the farmers of Van, President Erdoğan stated that they put a new organized industrial zone and a technopark into operation, and that they included the second phase of the Van Erciş Organized Industrial Zone, with an area of 25 hectares, in this year's investment program.
