Mayor Altay: “We Lived a Golden Era”

The first session of the last Assembly meeting of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Council for the 2019-2024 period was held under the chairmanship of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay.

Mayor Altay, who started his speech by congratulating the holy Ramadan of the entire Islamic world, said, “Especially this Ramadan, our hearts are heavy. Our brothers in Gaza are in great difficulty. I hope that a permanent ceasefire will be established as soon as possible and that a period in which people were brutally murdered due to hunger and thirst will come to an end. May God make our test easier.” he said.

GAVE INFORMATION ABOUT INVESTMENTS

Mayor Altay talked about the dozens of investments that they laid the foundations of or completed and put into service throughout Konya in the last month, from transportation to agriculture, from the environment to urban transformation, from technology to energy, from restoration works to education, and gave information to the parliament about the new rail system works that will be implemented especially with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

“WE HAVE STARTED OR COMPLETED MANY OF THE DREAM WORKS OF KONYA”

Thanking all council members for their contribution, Mayor Altay said, “As always, our Metropolitan Assembly has succeeded in taking unanimous decisions on all services provided to Konya, in an exemplary unity and solidarity for Turkey. We carried out the process in a manner worthy of Konya, without any negative situations, discussions or noise. I thank all my friends. I would like to express once again to our friends who will complete the task that their services will not be forgotten by the people of Konya and that we are living a golden period. We went through an extraordinary period such as a pandemic and an earthquake, but despite this, we managed to invest 52 billion lira in our city. "We have started or completed many projects that are Konya's dreams," he said.

At the end of his speech, Mayor Altay reminded that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be in Konya on March 17 and invited all parliament members to the Konya rally to be held with great enthusiasm.
