Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler said that they will make Ordu the agriculture and livestock base of Turkey by realizing the Ordu Mesudiye Agriculture-Based Specialized Beef Organized Industrial Zone, which is shown as the mega project of the Black Sea Region. Stating that they will implement many applications and innovations under the roof of the project, Mayor Güler emphasized that the project will also provide employment to 1500 people in the first stage.

Stating that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has a special interest in the project, Mayor Güler noted that many sectors will be activated by this project.
“1500 PEOPLE WILL BE EMPLOYED”
Underlining that 1500 people will be employed in the first phase with the Agriculture-Based Specialized Beef Organized Industrial Zone, Mayor Güler said, “We are bringing Turkey's agriculture and livestock base to Ordu. With the special attention of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the support of our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ordu Mesudiye Agriculture-Based Specialized Livestock Organized Industrial Zone, which is shown as the most popular investment in the Black Sea Region, will be the production base of our province. With its facilities such as animal shelters, meat integrated facility, animal hospital, biogas facility, fertilizer factory, cold storages, feed factories, all stages of cattle breeding from breeding to care, from production to marketing of meat and meat products will be united in Ordu Agricultural Specialized Beef Organized Industrial Zone. . "Our organized industrial zone, which will provide employment opportunities for 1500 people in the first stage, will be built on an area of 1250 decares," he said.

100 FEEDING FACILITIES WILL BE ESTABLISHED
“100 Livestock Enterprises will be established within the Ordu Mesudiye Agriculture-Based Specialized Livestock Organized Industrial Zone. Livestock enterprises will be organized with a capacity of at least 50 head, and livestock enterprises will be established primarily in line with the demands of our fellow citizens.
7 THOUSAND TONS OF MEAT WILL BE PRODUCED ANNUALLY
The Meat Integrated Facility and Slaughterhouse Facility will produce 7.000 tons of meat and meat products annually. Every stage, from the production of meat to its processing, evaluation of its by-products, packaging and protection in the cold chain, will be easily maintained. Ordu will turn into a production center where industrial enterprises will offer and market meat and meat products under their own brand.
WE WILL PROVIDE PURCHASE GUARANTEE FOR CEREALS GROWED IN THE REGION
With the Feed Factory, a purchase guarantee will be provided for grains produced in the region such as wheat, barley, oats, corn and sunflower used in feed production, and it will also provide convenience for our producers engaged in animal husbandry to access fattening feed.
WE WILL PREVENT POWER OUTAGES
7.500 kW energy transfer will also be provided to the region where Mesudiye Agriculture-Based Specialized Besi Organized Industrial Zone will be established. In this way, the energy needs of our facilities will be met while power outages, one of the most important problems of our region, will be prevented.
OUR CITIZENS WILL CONSUME CHEAPER ELECTRICITY
In addition, the Biogas Facility to be established and the Fertilizer Factory to be established in connection with this facility will bring significant employment in the region; It will allow our citizens to use cheaper energy and fertilizer for agricultural purposes.
DRINKING WATER PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED
With the project, 29 liters of water per second and 1,5 million liters of water per day will be transported to the Güzle region from the Melet River. This capacity can be increased up to 45 liters per second in line with the needs and the water need problem in our region will be resolved. Water to be used for agricultural irrigation will also be supplied.
ORDU WILL BE THE CENTER OF FATTENING CATTLE
With the implementation of the project, Ordu Province will become a center for beef cattle breeding. The production of feed and forage plants, which are the biggest inputs of the livestock industry, will develop. Thanks to the industrial facilities to be established, meat and meat products will be processed and value-added production will be made. The meat yield of livestock will be increased in the breeding activities carried out by cattle breeding enterprises with qualified agricultural models. In this way, the development of modern animal husbandry practices will be ensured.
