Within the scope of the "Greenhouse Development Project" initiated by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality to enable producers to obtain products with high market value and increase their income, farmers will be provided with modern greenhouse installation support with a 50 percent grant. Requests have started to be received from producers who want to benefit from the support. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın supports farmers with lifeline projects to ensure uninterrupted agriculture in Kocaeli and to increase the income level of producers. As one of Kocaeli's important rural development moves, it makes producers happy with numerous agricultural supports ranging from diesel fuel to fertilizer, from seeds to fruit saplings.
In this regard, within the scope of the Greenhouse Development Project across Kocaeli by the Metropolitan Municipality, this year, as every year, farmers are given turnkey modern greenhouse installation support with a 50 percent grant. The project aims to popularize greenhouse cultivation in Kocaeli and increase the income of farmers by obtaining products with high market value.
TRANSITION TO MODERN GREENHOUSE
The greenhouses, which will be built from scratch by the Metropolitan Municipality and delivered to farmers, consist of 2 blocks, 16 meters wide and 32 meters tall, with a total area of 512 square meters. Greenhouses with 4 different features suitable for modern greenhouse cultivation will provide great convenience to farmers in Kocaeli. The project will also enable producers to transition to a modern and easy-to-maintain greenhouse system.
RESISTANT TO BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS
Instead of greenhouses with inadequate ventilation and made of bent iron, farmers will have a modern, demountable galvanized profile high tunnel greenhouse system that is easy to ventilate and maintain, and to combat diseases and pests. The greenhouses installed will contribute to production by increasing mechanical strength against challenging weather conditions such as snow, hail, storm and rain. Greenhouses also allow production in large areas.
HIGH EFFICIENCY PRODUCTS
Modern greenhouse nylon has a lifespan of 36 months. It also contains UV + IR (LD) + EVA and reduces the risk of frost. Greenhouse nylons keep diseases and pests to a minimum, reduce the number of pesticides, and enable the growth of healthier and higher market value products.

They will be able to apply to the Agricultural Services Branch Directorate of the Headman's Affairs Department until the end of working hours on Friday, April 5. The modern greenhouses to be established by the Metropolitan Municipality will be delivered ready to producers on the determined dates. In line with the Modern Greenhouse Construction and Greenhouse Nylon Support Projects, 130 modern greenhouses were previously established and delivered to 50 farmers with a 130 percent grant. In addition, 1221 rolls of greenhouse nylon support were given to 50 producers, either with a 1893 percent grant or as a full grant due to the disaster.
