Parents will make an appointment via e-school and come to school

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin made a striking statement during his contacts in Iğdır! Explaining that students' parents entered the school to talk to the teacher or to greet their children, Minister Tekin stated that they did not find this right. Noting that parents encounter different problems when they enter the school, Minister Tekin said that they have established an e-appointment system to solve the problem and that parents can enter the school after making an appointment from this system. Explaining that some issues related to the Ministry of National Education are on the public agenda, Tekin said, “We had two circulars in the summer months. We do not want our parents to wait in the classroom corridors and doors in schools. When they enter the school, we face different problems. That's why we stated that we did not want our parents to enter the school to meet the teachers or to meet their students. Now we have established its infrastructure and implemented the school data appointment process via e-School. "It was on the agenda, discussed and talked about this week." he said.

Number of Students Increased by 25 percent

Minister Tekin attended the meeting of provincial education managers held at Iğdır Cultural Center within the scope of his contacts in Iğdır. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Tekin gave information about the investments made in the field of education in Turkey. Minister Tekin said that he has always been in the field since the date he started his duty as Minister. Stating that the number of students in Iğdır in the 2002-2003 academic year was 42 thousand 539, Tekin said: “In the intervening 22 years, the number of students has increased by around 11 thousand, that is, by approximately 25 percent, and the number of students has reached approximately 53 thousand. The figures we will state are important in terms of seeing the breakthroughs we have made in the education process under the leadership of our President. While the number of students increased by 25 percent, we had 2002 teachers in 1408 and now we have 3 thousand 782 teachers. In other words, while our students have increased by 25 percent, our teachers have increased by two, almost three times. Likewise, we had 2002 schools in 182, and now there are 325. If we are going to discuss the quality of education, our number of teachers, number of classrooms, number of teachers per teacher and number of students per classroom are very important.” Tekin stated that the teacher's house was included in the investment program in the city center and in the December district, and that 6 projects with teachers' houses, including fine arts high school, Anatolian high school, vocational high school and primary school, were in the investment program.
