Support came to the historical castle surroundings of Niğde from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki visited the Niğde Kale Region Renewal and Protection Project site. Minister Mehmet Özhaseki stated that the Niğde Castle region is an area where various artifacts from the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods are located, and said, “This is the most important place of our ancient Niğde. The entire area is 125 acres. The implementation project of the first phase has been prepared to be completed in the coming days. For now, we are starting work here on 38 acres. “Hopefully, we will complete these in a short time.” he said.

Stating that, as the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, they have made serious investments for the infrastructure of Niğde, Minister Özhaseki said, “We have completed the infrastructure from the sewer line to the treatment facilities. Esteemed President Emrah Özdemir is doing good work in the superstructure. Now we are at the beginning of the most important project that will carry Niğde into the future and enable it to benefit from tourism.” he said.

Emphasizing that the project site is the area where Niğde's history is located, Minister Özhaseki said, “People come here just to see this region.
