Isuzu Will Introduce the Electric D-Max Bev Model

ISTANBUL (IGFA) – The zero-emission D-MAX BEV was developed to meet commercial and passenger vehicle needs while maintaining the high performance expected from pick-ups. The permanent four-wheel drive system with newly developed e-Axles at the front and rear ensures that the D-MAX BEV offers excellent performance on difficult roads and a linear acceleration feeling unique to electric vehicles, while minimizing noise and vibration.

The D-MAX BEV has a robust chassis and body design that allows it to perform as well as existing diesel models. Equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 66.9 kWh, D-MAX BEV has two electric motors of 40 kW at the front and 90 kW at the rear and produces a total of 130 kW of power. Electric motors that produce more power provide higher towing capacity. Offering a maximum carrying capacity of 1000 kg, the electric D-MAX stands out with its 3.5 ton towing capacity.

In response to consumers using pick-ups for different purposes, Isuzu will offer an alternative power unit option with the electric D-MAX BEV. The brand's new electric vehicle will first begin to be offered in certain markets such as Norway in 2025. It will then be gradually offered for sale in the UK, Australia, Thailand and other countries, depending on market needs and the prevalence of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Anadolu Isuzu, the manufacturer of Isuzu's bus, truck and pickup truck models, is making plans to offer the electric version of D-MAX for sale in Turkey.

Isuzu Group focuses on innovative technologies and sustainable solutions by adopting the vision of environmental sustainability and a carbon neutral future. While paving the way for zero-emission transportation with the D-MAX BEV model, it will also appeal to customers who are looking for environmentally friendly transportation solutions. This step reflects Isuzu's aim to reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to environmental protection goals worldwide, as part of its commitment to future green energy. With this new electric pick-up model, Isuzu redefines sustainability standards in the automotive industry and promises to continue offering innovative solutions for a cleaner, greener world.
