He Described the Last 5 Years of Sakarya

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality March Ordinary Assembly Meeting was held in the institution's assembly hall. District mayors, commission members, group deputy chairmen and council members attended the council meeting chaired by Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem Yüce.

Making the opening speech of the assembly, Mayor Yüce briefly mentioned the 5 projects that were put into operation in all areas of life, from education to health, from agriculture to tourism, from social life to the service sector, during his 243-year term of office, and emphasized that "We left traces of the solid steps we took in Sakarya."

Mayor Yüce said, “As the Metropolitan Municipality, we have done our best in 5 years. We have implemented 243 projects for our city with all our teammates and subsidiaries who work hard. We see that each of our projects makes a difference all around our city and opens the doors to sustainable development. These projects, which we have shaped in a wide range from education to health, from agriculture to tourism, bear the traces of the solid steps we have taken in every field of our city. With these thoughts, I hope that our meeting will be beneficial and I greet you with respect.” He used his expressions.

On the other hand, President Yüce stated that they will meet with 1 million Sakarya people in the traditional Book Street during Ramadan and invited all citizens here to reach the spiritual peace of this holy month.

SPECIAL EVENTS FOR RAMADAN

Talking about the events that will take place for 1 month, Yüce said, “Today we have reached Ramadan, in which we fulfill our religious obligations, with the beginning being mercy, the middle being forgiveness, and the end being salvation. As you know, Ramadan in Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality means Book Street. This year, we are opening our street without neglecting our tradition. In this street established in front of AKM, there will be workshops and theater, meddah and shadow plays will be staged during the month of Ramadan. In addition to these, on our Book Street; Sufi music, to which our Sufi friends show great interest, will take place and make us feel the whole spirit of Ramadan. "We invite all our citizens to our Book Street, which will be open throughout the month of Ramadan," he said.

A total of 58 articles were decided at the council meeting. The section from Article 1 to Article 22 was accepted as a result of the majority vote as received by the Planning and Public Works Commission.

In addition, articles 23 to 46 and articles 54 and 58 were referred to the Planning and Public Works Commission by majority vote. Articles 47, 48, 49, 51, 52 and 53 were also accepted unanimously. Article 50 was withdrawn as it came from the office.
