As a physician mayor, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. prioritizes the services provided in the field of health in Kayseri. Memduh Büyükkılıç attended the 14 March Medicine Day Celebration Ceremony of healthcare workers who served selflessly.

In addition to President Büyükkılıç, Vice Rector Prof. attended the program held at Erciyes Cultural Center. Dr. Muammer Hakan Poyrazoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Cemal Alper Kemaloğlu, Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Microbiology, Professor, who developed the local vaccine Turkovac. Dr. Aykut Özdarendeli and Kayseri Medical Chamber President Dr. Türkmen Bahadır Arıkan, academicians and students attended.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. addressed the participants in the program, which started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. We must show the will to be at the forefront in the field of health. Mayor Büyükkılıç gave the good news of the Simulator Center, where students will be trained with computer-aided simulators that offer all kinds of patient types and disease scenarios, and said:

“In the last period, my teacher had a request. Simulation Center, is it suitable? I am sharing it here because it will make our teachers' job easier. We used to work under the difficult conditions of those days, but now things are getting easier. May the Simulation Center, which costs 1 million dollars, be sacrificed, sir, we are not going to upset you. As you know, March 14 is considered the beginning of modern medicine. Therefore, it suits us, our city and our administrators to prepare the environment for modern medicine in accordance with the conditions of the day.”

Büyükkılıç stated that he kissed the hands of devoted healthcare workers and said, “We always say further with the projects we have done, the value we give to people, and the prayers we will receive. As the healthcare community, we are a family to be proud of. As an elder, I kiss the hands of our healthcare professionals. "We need them very much, our healthcare professionals who improve and train themselves," he said.

Celebrating March 14 Medicine Day, Erciyes University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Muammer Hakan Poyrazoğlu stated that March 14 Medicine Day has a spirit and said, “As a person who has been celebrating Medicine Day for more than 40 years, I feel a different joy every March 14 Medicine Day. Because I am proud of my profession. March 14 should not be perceived only as a holiday. March 14 is the day when the Turkish doctor defended his independence and his homeland, and said "I am here" and said "stop" against the imperialist powers that covet the existence and integrity of our country. "March 14 has a spirit," he said.

Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. celebrated the 14 March Medicine Day of doctors. Dr. Cemal Alper Kemaloğlu also drew attention to the importance of independence and said, “We have to protect ourselves. How fortunate we are that we have never lost our independence in the 5 thousand years of Turkish state history. We were not slaves, and we did not enslave anyone. Kemaloğlu stated that Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine has an exceptional place both in the world and in Turkey, talked about the successful studies carried out and thanked the academicians and administrative staff.

Explaining the innovations made in the ERÜ Faculty of Medicine education system and the Faculty of Medicine Hospitals, Kemaloğlu also said that the Metropolitan Municipality has started to serve hot soup to students at the entrance of the lecture hall and to renovate the polyclinic.
