Good News from Mayor Aktaş to University Students in Bursa

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which organizes many programs from university student festivals to urban and out-of-city trips, from youth camps to youth meetings, with the motto "Life is Beautiful for Young People in Bursa", continues to support young people in every field, including youth centers, public cafeterias and sports halls.

Nearly 6 young people, members of the student communities of Uludağ University, Bursa Technical University and Mudanya University, attended the 'President Meets Student Communities at Breakfast' meeting, which was held for the 500th time this year. The program, which took place in a pleasant atmosphere at the Atatürk Congress Cultural Center Foyer Area, was attended by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, Bursa Deputy Mustafa Varank, AK Party Provincial Chairman Davut Gürkan and Uludağ University Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz also attended.

Stating that there are young people coming from different countries and cities to study in Bursa, Mayor Aktaş stated that every student is very valuable and valuable.

Reminding that Bursa Technical University is in the east of the city, Mayor Aktaş announced that they will bring a cultural center to Yıldırım district and said that Bursa truly deserves the title of student-friendly city. Noting that they will ease city traffic with new parking lots, Aktaş also gave information about the good news of 100 thousand TL grant to young entrepreneurs.

Stating that they will bring new green areas, social and sports facilities to the city, Mayor Aktaş said, “We have 15 youth centers that young people benefit from. We hope to increase the number to 50. We are opening the youth camp area in Orhaneli Göynükbelen soon. We will host young people there starting from spring. We organized many activities and festivals for young people. We will also add new ones to these. In the new period, we are providing 100 thousand TL support to the approved projects of our youth and women. We will build 5 new Burfaş Cafes for our young people to benefit from. We will give 'Youth Card' to young people who turn 18 and reside in Bursa. We load 5 thousand lira to the card. With this, whoever wants can go to the cinema, whoever wants can go to the theatre. Our young people who receive the card will benefit from cultural and artistic activities free of charge. We will provide wedding hall opportunities for young people who will get married. For those who do not want a wedding hall, we will provide white goods or furniture aid equal to its cost. We provide travel support twice a year to university students from Bursa who are studying outside the city. In the first place, we will create 'Youth Offices' and provide the opportunity to work for our young people who do not have office or workplace opportunities, those who want to improve themselves in their fields, those who are in the process of starting their own business, and those who are preparing for Teknofest and similar places. We will provide scholarships to young athletes who achieve success in sports at national and international levels, regardless of criteria. Thanks to Burskoop, we are increasing the number of scholarships we provide to 2 thousand students to 10 thousand. We will increase the number of YKS course centers from 16 to 6. On the other hand, 'Kahoot Quiz Competition' was also organized within the scope of the meeting. In the competition where students competed by participating online, the winner was given an Eastern Express ticket for two, the second winner was given a laptop, the third winner was an electric scooter, the fourth winner was a bicycle, the fifth winner was given a wireless headset, and the top 10 winners were given a power bank. Mayor Aktaş and Deputy Varank gave the awards to the winners of the competition. Uludağ University union representatives also presented a painting to President Aktaş and Deputy Varank in memory of the day.
