Get Ready to Flood to Bodrum: 9 Days of Ramadan Holiday!

Stating that extending the Ramadan holiday to 9 days is positive for the sector, Professional Hotel Managers Association (POYD) Bodrum Representative and Bodrium Hotel & SPA General Manager Yiğit Girgin said that the demand, especially in the domestic market, will increase.

Stating that the 9-day holiday will have a doping effect in April, which is the season for tourism, Girgin stated that it is advantageous for our country that the demands from abroad start in the same period.

Noting that the support given for the Eid holiday is an extremely positive development for the sector, Yiğit Girgin said, “Both holidaymakers and tourism professionals are tired of both the election atmosphere and economic fluctuations. "This nice break with the holiday will bring serious morale and movement to the domestic market," he said.

DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN TOURISTS WILL STIMULATE THE ECONOMY

In addition to the domestic market; Reminding that requests from abroad will start as of April, Girgin continued his words as follows: “We will have a nice holiday with the opening of international lines as of April and the support of international roaming. On the one hand, the duration of stay may be shortened. Because the increasing dollar exchange rate and the movements of the domestic market dynamics also affect overnight stays. It is pleasing that the incoming reservations continue to flow. A positive atmosphere prevails in the tourism community. We observe that there is activity especially in the German and British markets. The job of a tourism professional is always about hope. Service can be produced where there is hope, peace and happiness. Turkish tourism is in a strong position. We are a sector that makes serious breakthroughs and investments every year. We are one of the most effective countries in the world in this sense. "It is possible to achieve the ministry's target of 2024 million tourists and 60 billion dollars for 60."

WE EXPECT UP TO 80 PERCENT OCCUPANCY

Stating that they expect 75 - 80 percent occupancy for the holiday, Yiğit Girgin explained that it is possible for this figure to increase with the demands of both the domestic and foreign markets.

Emphasizing that early booking opportunities and campaigns of hotels should be closely followed during this period, Girgin continued his words as follows: “We have high expectations for the summer months after the holiday. We are receiving demand especially from the German and British markets in the 2024 summer season. Continuity of reservations is important. We are not currently observing any negative weather. It is also an important factor to adopt a more accurate pricing policy this year compared to last year. We generate serious income and bring in foreign currency for our country. "If nothing goes wrong, we can say that we will reach 100 percent occupancy in the summer season."
