President Erdoğan addressed the citizens at his party's Malatya rally held next to the Metropolitan Municipality.
Reminding that nearly 78 thousand residences, more than 25 thousand village houses, more than 27 thousand barns and commercial areas were damaged in Malatya in the disaster of the century, President Erdoğan said that they sent nearly 85 thousand tents to the city and set up more than 36 thousand containers to meet temporary shelter needs.
“70 THOUSAND RIGHT HOLDERS WERE DETERMINED”
Stating that as a result of the studies carried out, approximately 20 thousand beneficiaries were determined in Malatya, 70 thousand of whom were in rural areas and the rest in city centers, President Erdoğan continued as follows:
“We delivered 6 thousand 181 houses, the construction of which was completed last month, to their rightful owners. Currently, 48 thousand 837 houses are under construction in our city. 32 thousand 583 of our Malatya brothers applied for on-site transformation and even 500 of them started to build their houses. Our Ministry of Environment and Urbanization carries out the square and workplace arrangements in the city center. Work continues at full speed around the Yeni Mosque, around the Buğday Market, between Akpınar Square and Emeksiz Street, along İnönü Street and around the Governorship. Project work continues in many neighborhoods in Yesilyurt. We provided 6 billion liras of additional support to our city for zoning and construction works. Our aim is to provide all beneficiaries with their residences and commercial buildings by the middle of next year. "We are not satisfied with this, we are implementing different production facilities that will prepare our earthquake-affected cities for the future."
President Erdoğan said, “We have initiated a housing and employment project that will concentrate defense industry investments in earthquake zone cities. Our company ASELSAN is establishing an electronic maintenance, repair and electronic card typesetting facility in Malatya. "We will work tirelessly until we erase all traces of the earthquake in our city, with its infrastructure and superstructure." said.
Stating that the earthquake disaster that Turkey experienced on top of all the terrorist attacks, coup attempts, secret and open sieges it has been subjected to has a heavy material and moral cost, President Erdoğan pointed out that it is not easy to overcome so many human losses and heavy damage to cities.
Stating that if another country in the world experienced what Turkey experienced, it would take decades to recover, President Erdoğan said:
“Thank God, we are overcoming the disaster of the century with the unity of the century. With God's permission, we are determined to make all our earthquake cities, especially Malatya, safer, more peaceful, more vibrant and more active than before. Of course, we cannot bring back those who lost their lives. But other than that, we have the power, determination and fortitude to replace all losses with something better. We will not allow the earthquake to distract us from our goals, just like the other tests we have experienced. We will continue our struggle until Turkey takes its place among the greatest countries in the world with its diplomacy, economy, military power and social structure. Let Malatya be our witness that as long as our nation's support and prayers are behind us, no one will be able to prevent this struggle from ending in victory."
“THIS IS CALLED POLITICAL BLACKMAIL”
President Erdoğan stated that his party's policy is the policy of work and service, and stated that Hazrat Mevlana's “Kamil is that; He quoted the saying, "There is a work in the world, but if there is no work, there will be no wind in its place."
President Erdogan said:
“With this understanding, we have dedicated our entire lives to bringing work to our country, our people, and our cities. You will not be of any benefit to the country, you will not be of any good service to the nation, you will not contribute positively to anyone's life; Then you will try to dominate politics only by telling lies, by criticizing unfairly, and by being rude and selfish. This is called political blackmail. Whatever Turkey has suffered so far, it has suffered from sloppy politician types who have no vision, program or project prepared with effort and enthusiasm. We look with pity on our years and opportunities that were wasted at the hands of these minds who do nothing but destroy the climate of trust and stability in the country with the lie that 'Whatever the other gives, five more from me'. Unfortunately, we have recently seen that this evil style of politics has begun to resurface. I believe that our nation will not trust either political blackmailers or swindler politicians at the ballot box. I have no doubt that Malatya, with its unity, solidarity, brotherhood and solidarity, will set an example for the whole of Turkey in this regard.”
