Dündar Met with Representatives of Amateur Sports Clubs

Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar meets citizens from different segments of society at the same table every evening with the iftar programs he organizes in Osmangazi Square. Mayor Dündar recently hosted an iftar dinner for the representatives of amateur sports clubs in the district. Mayor Dündar, who hosted representatives of amateur sports clubs in Osmangazi Square, the most important work built recently in Bursa, went around the tables one by one before the iftar time and shook hands with each of his guests individually. In addition to representatives of amateur sports clubs, AK Party Osmangazi District Chairman Adnan Kurtuluş and MHP Osmangazi District Chairman Kerim Gürsel Çelebi attended the iftar dinner, where the unity of the month of Ramadan was revealed in the most beautiful way. After the evening adhan was recited, we all prayed together and broke the fast.

DÜNDAR: “OSMANGAZİ SQUARE WILL BE THE MEETING POINT OF BURSA”

Making a speech to the representatives of amateur sports clubs after the iftar, Mayor Dündar said, “This year, we are meeting around the same table with citizens from different walks of life with the iftar programs we organize in Osmangazi Square in Ramadan. Osmangazi Square is a very important project of our municipality. We have now come to an end in this important project, which we started with the expropriation process in 2009. It is one of the most important works built in Bursa recently, both with its budget and its huge structure. Before the month of Ramadan, we organized concerts for young people to introduce the square to our people. On the occasion of these concerts, approximately 250 thousand young people had the opportunity to come to Osmangazi Square and see this work. We continue to host our citizens with iftar programs during the month of Ramadan. This place will become a lively place with 24-hour activity in the future. Osmangazi Square consists of an area of 37 thousand square meters. We made serious expropriations to obtain this area. We prepared a project in line with common thoughts by taking the opinions of our citizens from all walks of life. The first phase of the project, which we implemented in two stages, is about to be completed. Hopefully, we will complete the second phase of the square on March 31 with the support of our citizens. The value of Osmangazi Square will be understood as it is used. A lot was said about another of our brand works, Panorama 1326 Bursa Conquest Museum. However, the Conquest Museum became a prestige work of Bursa. Visited by 146 million people from 3 countries, the Conquest Museum became the meeting point of the world. "Osmangazi Square will also be the meeting point of Bursa," he said.

DUNDAR: “WE HAVE TWO SPORTS FACILITIES PROJECTS FOR THE NEW TERM”

Underlining that Osmangazi Municipality provides serious support to sports and athletes, Mayor Dündar said, “We have 78 sports facilities in Osmangazi. 48 of these facilities were implemented during our period. Osmangazi Athletics Hall became the number one in Turkey. We built sports facilities in various branches such as swimming pools, basketball and football fields, tennis courts and put them at the service of our youth and citizens. We have prepared two important projects in the field of sports for the new period. We will provide benefits to our youth by building a sports facility on 30 decares of land in Yunuseli Neighborhood. We have a project that we will implement in Kükürtlü District under the name of 'Athlete Factory'. We will build a hall where branches such as handball, basketball and badminton will be available and offer it to our youth. We know the problems of our amateur sports clubs. We are aware of the sacrifices our managers make. "As Osmangazi Municipality, we will hopefully stand by you in the new period to support sports and athletes," he said.

KILIÇ: “WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE A MAYOR WHO LOVES SPORTS”

President of Amateur Sports Clubs, Osman Kılıç, made the following statements in his speech: “Osmangazi Square, where we are here today, is one of the most beautiful places in Bursa. Our President Mustafa has brought this beautiful place to Bursa by working step by step with the work he has been carrying out for many years. I hope we can all attend the opening together. I congratulate everyone who contributed, especially our President Mustafa. We are luckier than many districts and even cities in Turkey in terms of sports facilities in Osmangazi. We have a mayor who loves sports and is making serious investments in this field. “I would like to thank him personally and on behalf of all amateur sports clubs.”

Osmangazi Amateur Clubs Association President Zafer Akman stated that, as amateur sports clubs, they will never leave President Mustafa alone and said, "Because you do not leave us alone either."
