The "Regulation on Amendments to the Regulation on Selection and Assignment of Administrators for Educational Institutions" affiliated to the Ministry of National Education came into force after being published in the Official Gazette.

Within the scope of the regulation, those who previously served as administrators and who worked as teachers will be able to apply for re-appointment upon the announcement to be made after their new or first appointments. Applications can be made for previous managerial or lower managerial positions, provided that "having served as a manager for at least one year".

The appointment of the applicants will be carried out in accordance with the reappointment provisions of the Regulation.

Administrators who voluntarily resigned from their positions as interprovincial administrators will be able to apply within the scope of "reassignment of those who resigned from administration".

“BRANCH PRIORITY” IN MANAGER APPOINTMENTS

In appointing principals to kindergartens, primary schools and imam hatip secondary schools, priority will be given to pre-school teachers, classroom teachers and teachers of religious culture and ethics. Accordingly, priority will be given to pre-school teachers in kindergartens, classroom teachers in primary schools, and religious culture and ethics teachers in imam-hatip secondary schools in the appointment of principals.

With the Regulation, religious culture and ethics teachers can be appointed as principals in Imam Hatip High Schools, and Imam Hatip High School vocational course teachers can be appointed as principals in Imam Hatip Secondary Schools.

Among the teachers who have worked as permanent staff at science and art centers within the scope of their first appointment, those who request to be appointed as deputy principals and assistant principals at science and art centers, and among teachers of workshops, laboratories or vocational courses who wish to be appointed as deputy principals and assistant principals at vocational and technical secondary education institutions, Five more points were given to the basis score for assignment.

Candidates who will be reassigned as administrators, teachers in the fields of accommodation and travel services, accounting and finance, food and beverage services, public relations and organization, and food technology who wish to be appointed as principals in teacher training centers and evening art schools will receive five points more than the score based on the assignment determined in accordance with the first paragraph. will be given.

At least two of the deputy directors of vocational and technical education institutions will be appointed among the teachers of workshops, laboratories or vocational courses.

In the appointment of assistant principals, female priority and field priority will be evaluated separately, and in case both priorities exist in the same educational institution, the priority candidate will be determined according to their score superiority. Special education teachers will be appointed as administrators in educational institutions that have special education norms.

Among those who were appointed to teaching positions and wanted to be appointed as administrators due to the termination of their administrative duties for any reason, they were able to apply for the first time or within the scope of reassignment of those who left the administration.

The provision regarding the appointment of those who left their administrative duties as teachers was also changed. Accordingly, those who leave upon their request before completing their four-year term of office will be appointed to the educational institution where they were assigned as administrators, in case there is a vacant standard position in their field, or to the educational institution where there is a vacant norm position in the district, if there is no vacant norm position in this institution.

Those who leave after completing their 4-year term of office will be appointed as teachers to an educational institution appropriate to their situation within the district in which they are working as administrators, or, if there are no vacant norm staff in their fields within the district, taking their requests into consideration, they will be appointed as teachers to an educational institution with vacant norm staff in their fields within the province. Administrators whose four-year assignment to educational institutions directly affiliated with the central organization of the Ministry have ended can apply to be reappointed as administrators or to be reassigned within the scope of reassignment of those who have resigned from the administration.
