Aegean Region Exports Reached 2 Billion 312 Million Dollars

According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the Aegean Region's exports increased by 4 percent, from 2 billion 510 million dollars to 2 billion 610 million dollars.

Turkey's exports in February are; It increased by 13 percent to 21 billion 86 million dollars.

In the first two months of 2024, the exports of the Aegean Exporters' Associations increased by 4,1 percent from 2 billion 935 million dollars to 3 billion 56 million dollars, while the last year's exports amounted to 1 billion 18 million dollars.

THE DECLINE IN EXPORTS OF INDUSTRIAL SECTORS HAS STOPPED

Looking at the breakdown of February exports of the Aegean Exporters' Associations, industrial sectors managed to exceed the export performance of 837 million dollars in February 2023 by 835 million dollars with exports of 2 million dollars.

Exports of agricultural sectors increased by 10 percent and mining sector increased by 20 percent in EİB

Agricultural sectors, one of the strong phases of the Aegean Exporters' Associations, increased their exports by 10 percent in February, from 591 million dollars to 648 million dollars. The mining industry, which started 2024 with an intense marketing campaign, reaped the fruits of its efforts with a 20 percent increase in exports and increased its exports from 79 million dollars to 94,7 million dollars.

In February, 12 of the 9 exporters' associations within the EIB managed to increase their exports compared to February 2023, while 3 unions fell behind their performance in February 2023.

STEEL EXPORTS MAINTAINED ITS POSITION AT THE TOP

The Aegean Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters Association increased its exports by 3 percent in February from 212,9 million dollars to 218,6 million dollars and maintained its top position. EDDMİB's annual exports were recorded as 2 billion 496 million dollars.

While the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters' Association increased its exports from 47 million dollars to 64,8 million dollars with an export increase rate of 95,4 percent in February, it became the export increase record holder within the EIB in February, after January. EKMİB's annual exports increased by 18 percent, from 859 million dollars to 1 billion 15 million dollars.
