After Gaziantep, BESOB President Fahrettin Bilgit and accompanying board members and chamber presidents visited Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of last year's earthquakes, called the Disaster of the Century.
Speaking at the meeting at the KMESOB service building and expressing his satisfaction with the visit of the Bursa delegation, KMESOB President Kuybu said, “It is a pleasure for us to host you. Our Bursa has a different and special place in our hearts. During this process, our Bursa organization sent us what we needed. Our president said to us, 'Let's send whatever you need.' At that time, tents were needed the most. Thank you, they helped us from the first moment by providing tents. "On behalf of the tradesmen organization of this city full of heroism, I would like to thank you and the Bursa tradesmen organization with all my heart for all the support you provided after the earthquake," he said.
“NOT ONE, BUT A THOUSAND DAY IS NOT ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THE PAIN HERE”
Fahrettin Bilgit, Chairman of the BESOB Board of Directors, conveyed his condolences and get well soon to all citizens affected by the earthquake before KMESOB President Kuybu and said, "We are happy and happy to visit KMESOB, where we laid the foundations during the earthquake period and signed a sister union protocol afterwards, to wish our tradesmen in the region a get well soon and to wish them good luck." It did and it made me sad. Just last year, thousands of lives were lost in the region that experienced a very, very big disaster. Seeing that trade is gaining dynamism in our city today makes us hopeful for the future. As Bursa tradesmen, we will always support Kahramanmaraş under any circumstances and our support will always continue. We will heal the wounds together. To understand the situation and pain here, you need to live not one but a thousand days. I say again from the bottom of my heart that we are ready to support whatever you need. The tradesman organization is the cornerstone of society. It is the fundamental duty of us sitting in these seats to raise the tradesmen up. It is our duty not to deviate from this consciousness. "On the anniversary of the great disaster, we wish our Kahramanmaraş, all provinces affected by the earthquake, and our nation a speedy recovery," he said.
Within the scope of IMEP Program, BESOB and Kahramanmaraş ESOB experience sharing meeting was held. Views were exchanged regarding the activities carried out by the two institutions within the scope of the program, and the works carried out by Kahramanmaraş ESOB were examined on site.
SUPPORT TO “A STOP IN EVERY CITY” PROJECT
After the visit to KMESOB, the BESOB delegation met with the students at Kahramanmaraş Turan Primary School. The Bursa delegation presented the packages prepared with the support of the tradesmen of Bursa to the students, and also included a stitch for the Turkish Flag prepared within the scope of the "A Stitch for Every Martyr" project initiated by the school.
