Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, visited Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem Yüce in his office. Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Kurtulmuş, who was welcomed with a mehter ceremony at the entrance of the Metropolitan Municipality, then went to the office with the protocol delegation. Mayor Yüce was accompanied by AK Party Deputy Chairman Ali İhsan Yavuz, AK Members of Parliament Çiğdem Atabek, Ertuğrul Kocacık, Sakarya Governor Yaşar Karadeniz and AK Party Provincial Chairman Yunus Tever.
During the visit, Mayor Ekrem Yüce talked about the gains of 5 years of 'service' work spent day and night in Sakarya. Stating that they have implemented 240 projects, Yüce gave examples of the projects that brought firsts to Sakarya in agriculture, industry, sports and social fields. Noting that they will continue to work heartily for Sakarya after handing over the flag, Mayor Yüce said, “We are proud to serve with our foreheads white and our heads held high. "We have written the name of this city in golden letters and we will continue to do so," he said.

President Yüce said: “We have continued our work day and night for 5 years. We implemented 240 projects. We had an official opening and groundbreaking every week. We have opened many big projects together, this is a great honor for us. Hopefully, services will continue and increase from now on. We will deliver the flag to our brother Yusuf. But we will always continue to work for Sakarya. We are present in many fields such as agriculture, sports, industry and tourism. We received the titles of European Sports City and World Cycling City. When Sakarya is mentioned, sports comes to mind. We always write the name of our city in golden letters and we will continue to do so. We are the only municipality that carries out agricultural production on an area of 6 thousand decares.
