It causes damage to many fruits and vegetables by suctioning them. Fruits are deformed, corn and soybean grains lose their seed properties. It causes empty, misshapen and stained fruit, especially in hazelnuts. Although it was seen as harmful in the surveys and garden controls carried out until the end of July 2023, it did not reach the economic damage threshold. An increase in its population was also observed in August and September. For this reason, the work of our Metropolitan Municipality will continue without slowing down,” he said.
