“EVERY PROJECT WE ANNOUNCED IS A SUSTAINABLE PROJECT”

Stating that the announced projects are continuity and that students' exam entrance fees will be covered every year from now on, Mayor Işık said, “Today, we are together to announce to you a new support within the scope of our education support project and share it with the public. We have continued our services since March 31, 2019, saying that the abundance in Kütahya will increase as we share, and within the scope of our education support project during our term of office; We provided cash stationery support to a total of 8 thousand 972 students of primary, secondary and high school age, that is, approximately 9 thousand students. We continue our support for the last year, covering the years 2023 and 2024, with an additional 500 TL if there is one student in a family, 2 TL if there are 750 students, and an additional 250 TL for each additional student. In addition, under the name of transportation support for 9 thousand 480 students, approximately 9 thousand 500 students will be provided with a total of 44 thousand 22 boarding fees from the budget of our municipality, to be used in urban public transportation vehicles, 22 boardings per student per month, that is, 417 departures and 140 arrivals, during the school days. We supported our families and students in need. In order to spread zero waste awareness to a total of 32 thousand 788 students of kindergarten, primary and secondary school age, that is, approximately 33 thousand students, who continue their education in our city, we delivered our set of information and stationery materials to our students, one by one, by going to their schools. We thank both our students and their families and wish them good luck. As it is known, OSYM started to receive registrations for our students who will enter the university as of February 1, 2024, that is, yesterday. This morning, news was announced to the public in the national press that the exam fees of our university students were increased from 115 TL to 295 TL, that is, an increase of approximately 0%. Therefore, we have called you today for this purpose, to ensure that there are no students who cannot take the university exam in our city, we will apply for the exam of our students who will take the exam and whose residences are in our city and who will participate in the Higher Education Institutions (YKS) transition exams, namely TYT-AYT and YDT exams, which will be held on 8-9 June 2024. The fees will be covered by our Kütahya Municipality. The support that will be given is for those who are in the last year of high school or equivalent schools and have not turned 25 years old, because there are also those who have entered 2-3 times, there is a certain age limit. Also, considering those who have entered Open Education, we will not be able to give it to students who are not registered in any higher education institution, that is, to those who have taken the YKS exam conducted by ÖSYM for the first time or who will use their first rights and have not been able to take it, that is, those who have taken it and will take it again for the second time. And we will make all our students who are not working in any job benefit from this support. In order to benefit from the support, it will be sufficient for our students to apply directly to Kütahya Municipality or to the special platform we will open on our corporate website, together with the ÖSYM application documents, after paying the exam fees. Therefore, we will provide this support by transferring their wages. Under the motto "We did, we are doing, we will do", we shared with you what we have done, only regarding this topic and our primary and high school students. You also know the support we provide to our university students, and hopefully we will share it with you within the scope of another project. We have shared with you another new project that will ensure that the support of our municipality is always with the families, regardless of their income level, in order to prepare the children of this city for the future in the best possible way. God willing, the same support will be repeated as long as we are in office. We do not make a commitment just before the election or thinking that our term of office is limited to one term. Every project we announce is a sustainable project. From now on, the same support will be given to our students who will take the exam every year.
