Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu received a briefing about Samsun Çarşamba Airport New Terminal Building in Samsun, where he went to participate in a series of programs today. Minister Uraloğlu, who listened to the presentations prepared about the project, personally examined the work done afterwards on site.

Reminding that they made a revision in the existing terminal building of the airport 2 years ago, Uraloğlu said, “We expanded the usage area of the existing domestic departures passenger hall. "We also renewed all 25-year-old mechanical, electrical and electronic systems." he said.
Stating that Samsun cannot be contained with its constantly growing economy, Uraloğlu said, “We know very well that Samsun's commercial and international needs in air transportation are increasing. 22 years ago, the number of passengers using the airline was 175 thousand. Today, it has exceeded 9 million 1 thousand, an increase of approximately 400 times.” said.
WE WILL TENDER THE PROJECT ASAP
Noting that bigger changes will be made at Çarşamba Airport, Uraloğlu made the following statements:
“Within the scope of our New Project; We will build the new domestic terminal building on an area of 23 thousand 463 square meters and reorganize the existing terminal building as an international terminal building. We will expand the apron area with an addition of 17 thousand 184 square meters. Within the scope of the project, we will build a new power center building and a parking lot with a capacity of 4 vehicles on an area of 658 thousand 847 square meters. We will make the tender for this project, which has a construction cost of approximately 2 billion liras including connection roads, as soon as possible. “I hope it will be beneficial for our Samsun and our region.”
