President Altay Met with Tradesmen and Young People

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay visited tradesmen in Akşehir and participated in a conversation organized for young people.

Mayor Altay visited the tradesmen together with Akşehir Mayor Salih Akkaya, AK Party People's Alliance Akşehir Mayor candidate Yusuf Kahraman and AK Party Akşehir District Chairman Muammer Sağlam and wished them luck.

Mayor Altay then met with young people from Akşehir in the program titled "Akşehir with the Love of Youth" organized by AK Party Akşehir Youth Branch.

AK Party Akşehir District Chairman Muammer Sağlam made the opening speech of the interview at the program, which took place at Akşehir Cultural Center with the intense participation of young people. Sağlam said that it is the moral responsibility of Turkish youth to maintain and carry forward the thousands of years of heritage.

Akşehir Mayor Salih Akkaya emphasized that the greatest power of a country is its youth and said, "Therefore, as mayors and administrators, our most important duty is to prepare our youth for the future in the best possible way."

After the opening speeches, the interview started. Explaining the importance of Akşehir for him, Mayor Altay reminded that it is a great cultural asset that has managed to survive from Nasreddin Hodja to the Western Front Headquarters and from the Republic to today.

“WE HAVE A SPECIAL ATTACHMENT TO AKŞEHİR”

Emphasizing that one of the most important elements is the presence of a city culture in Akşehir, Mayor Altay said, “We have a special bond with Akşehir. Sometimes we came quietly and walked around the streets of Akşehir, taking in the atmosphere of Akşehir. Of course, let's put gastronomy in a separate place. That's why I am very happy to be in Akşehir and to serve Akşehir. The fact that it is Nasreddin Hodja's hometown is probably the best part of this. Nasreddin Hodja is an important figure not only in our country, but actually in the entire Turkish geography. "We strive to follow in his footsteps and serve our city," he said.

INVITED YOUNG PEOPLE INTERESTED IN TECHNOLOGY TO THE CAPSULE TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM

Talking about the projects they carry out for young people, Mayor Altay stated that the 'In the Footsteps of Your Ancestors' Istanbul programs and the Capsule Technology Platform are among the projects he cares about the most and said:

“Especially for our high school students, leaving Akşehir and going to Istanbul by high-speed train is a change, it remains a memory in their minds. And also the Capsule Technology Platform. I would like to emphasize this especially for our friends who have not heard. We have a system in which we support technology-related youth and university teams, especially our friends who are preparing for Teknofest. We are trying to turn Capsule into a technology center. Thus, we try to turn it into a cycle where you can develop your ideas there, find financing for the products you develop and implement them. Why shouldn't we have world famous people among us or support our friends as in the example of Selçuk Bayraktar in our country? We are making a serious investment in this issue. “If there are such teams or friends interested in this in Akşehir, we would like to host them on our Capsule Technology Platform.”

In the last part of the interview, where AK Party People's Alliance Akşehir Mayor candidate Yusuf Kahraman also participated, Mayor Altay also answered the questions from young people.
