Parking Areas for the Cable Car are Being Built in Kocaeli

The Kartepe Cable Car Project, Kocaeli's 'half-century-old dream', has come to an end. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to work on the superstructure and parking lot at Derbent station, which is the starting point of the cable car.

EXCAVATION WORKS HAVE STARTED

Within the scope of the Kartepe Cable Car project, the steel ropes that will carry the cabins have been stretched. Superstructure work has started for the cable car project, which will offer the opportunity to travel in shades of green and blue. The teams started excavation work for three separate car parks, one of which is 6-storey. Excavations continue within the scope of the works carried out by the Department of Technical Affairs and the Department of Rail Systems.

6-STOREY PARKING PARK

Kartepe Cable Car Multi-Storey Car Park, which will be built on an area of ​​22 thousand 338 square meters next to Derbent station, will have a total capacity of 36 vehicles, including 54 disabled vehicles and 598 electric vehicle parking spaces. There will be 6 pedestrian elevators in the car park, which is designed as 3 floors.

2 MORE SEPARATE PARKING PARKS

The teams will also build 2 more separate parking lots. Car parks will be built for large vehicles on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Street, and for small vehicles right next to Derbent station. The small vehicle parking lot will have a capacity of 54 vehicles and the large vehicle parking lot will have a capacity of 16 vehicles.

770 METERS ROAD

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality teams will also build 770 meters of road. Within the scope of the project, 500 cubic meters of stone wall manufacturing and rainwater line manufacturing will be carried out. Additionally, power lines will be underground and lighting work will be carried out.
