Konya Fire Department is one of the most important fire departments in Turkey. Because we operate at many points in an area of 42 thousand square kilometers. In addition, Konya Fire Brigade, together with TIKA, is an organization that provides training to many fire departments around the world. It has a deep-rooted history. I would like to express this specifically. As you know, on February 6, 2023, we experienced a major disaster in 11 cities of our country and we were on duty in Hatay. We set out for Hatay with our fire department. The first fire team to reach Hatay at 14.30 was Konya Fire Department and we managed to rescue 168 of our citizens alive from the rubble.”
