Women from Kula Were Hosted in Manisa

Under the leadership of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cengiz Ergün, a social responsibility project called "Let's Women Come to Manisa" was launched more than ten years ago to enable women residing in the 17 districts of the city to get to know the city better. Within the scope of this project, which has allowed thousands of citizens to visit Manisa and learn its history since its inception, 75 women from Kula visited the ancient city and received information about the artifacts. Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Advisor Nursel Ustamehmetoğlu, Head of Social Services Department Sibel Alkın Kedersiz, Head of Department Fırat Özcan and Head of Mukhtar Affairs Department Onur Pabuççuoğlu accompanied the group of Social Services Department officials and the guide at Şehzadelerpark. After the introduction of the first stop, women from Kula went to the Sultan Mosque complex and listened to the information about the Medical History Museum and the Sultan Mosque. Subsequently, Muradiye Mosque, the only work of Mimar Sinan in the Aegean Region, was visited. By going to Mevlevihane, we learned about the place of the building in history and enjoyed the view resulting from its location. The women of Kula, who listened to the mythological story of Niobe at the Crying Rock, took a break at the Ladies Family Tea Garden after being hosted at the MASKİ General Directorate cafeteria for lunch. Finally, the group from Kula visited the Çanakkale Martyrs' Monument, Atatürk Exhibition Hall, Atatürk Youth Center and Atatürk City Park, which were brought to the city by Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, and was sent off at the end of the tour. The women coming from Kula thanked Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Cengiz Ergün for this project and said, "Thanks to our Mayor, we had the opportunity to visit Manisa, our city. May God bless him."
