Kayseri is Rising in Agriculture with the Support of Mayor Büyükkılıç

Thanks to Kayseri farmers who received the support of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and increased their production, Mayor Büyükkılıç, who was instrumental in the city ranking 30th among 4 metropolitan cities in the amount of cultivated agricultural areas, this time supported agricultural production in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. With its projects, it increased the number of the most produced agricultural products in agricultural production in Kayseri to 14, among which the top ten in Turkey is aspirin, which has attracted recent attention.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. continues his investments and works by producing projects aimed at making the ancient city Kayseri a city of tourism, sports, museums, education, libraries and agriculture. In this regard, Memduh Büyükkılıç turned Kayseri into an agricultural city, thanks to the cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the solidarity of the chambers of agriculture and farmer citizens. Büyükkılıç, which enabled Kayseri to rank 30th among 4 metropolitan cities in terms of the amount of cultivated agricultural areas, this time enabled Kayseri to increase the number of agricultural products in the top ten produced in Turkey in agricultural production to 14, while hundreds of millions of dollars were spent on agriculture and animal husbandry. It achieves its goal of making Kayseri an agricultural city by reaping the fruits of its XNUMX lira investments.

METROPOLITAN DISTRIBUTED 1 TONS OF SEEDS IN 412 YEAR

The Metropolitan Municipality, which always stands by the producers with the projects it has implemented in cooperation with the relevant public institutions and organizations, especially the Governorship and the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, has provided effective and strong support to agricultural production within the scope of the 'production from you, support from us' project, in line with the instructions of Mayor Büyükkılıç. gave support in this way. In this context, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality distributed 2023 tons of seeds and 16 thousand saplings to producers in 412 districts in 5 and made a seed support investment of 11 million 600 thousand TL.

KAYSERİ RANKS 1ST IN TURKEY IN SASPIR PRODUCTION

In this sense, according to the data of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Kayseri ranked first in Turkey in safflower production, which is among the 14 agricultural products grown in Turkey. Kayseri, which ranked 1st in Turkey in safflower production with 8 thousand 234 tons, ranked 1nd in Turkey in rye production with 33 thousand 437 tons. While Kayseri ranked 2nd in Turkey in confectionery pumpkin production with 16 thousand 511 tons, it was 2rd in Turkey in confectionery sunflower production with 31 thousand 901 tons. Kayseri, which ranks 3rd in Turkey with 1 million 66 thousand 371 tons in sugar beet production, ranked 3th in Turkey with 248 tons in cumin production. Kayseri, which ranks 4th in Turkey with 490 thousand 72 tons in potato production, ranked 4th in Turkey with 8 thousand 410 tons in dry bean production. Kayseri ranked 6th in Turkey in apple production with 236 thousand 324 tons, while Turkey ranked 7th in barley production with 240 thousand 804 tons. Kayseri, which ranks 9th in Turkey in chickpea production with 16 thousand 210 tons, ranked 9th in alfalfa production with 489 thousand 635 tons. Kayseri, which ranked 9th in Turkey with 15 thousand 764 tons in apricot production, ranked 9th in Turkey with 3 tons in fenugreek production.

APPROXIMATELY 5 MILLION TL INVESTMENT BY BÜYÜKKILIÇ IN AGRICULTURE IN A PERIOD OF APPROXIMATELY 500 YEARS

Mayor Büyükkılıç, who has always tried to be with farmers and breeders in the nearly 5-year period since he took office in Kayseri, has become the biggest supporter of agricultural producers with the projects he has produced and the investments he has made. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Services Department invested approximately 5 million TL in agriculture and animal husbandry in the city over a period of approximately 500 years.

A TOTAL OF 600 DECARES OF LAND IN KAYSERİ WAS GIVEN PASTURE QUALIFICATION AGAIN

Thanks to the Pasture Reclamation Project, which is the first jointly implemented project in Turkey and carried out in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, a total of 600 decares of land, the seeds of which were provided by the Metropolitan Municipality, were once again qualified as pasture. The planting of the seeds was carried out by the Chamber of Agriculture and farmers with tractors donated by the Metropolitan Municipality, and a great contribution to agricultural production was made.
