Mayor Büyükkılıç welcomed Deputy Mayor Sırakaya with flowers at the entrance of the Metropolitan Municipality and showed Sırakaya around the exhibition containing 7,5 million-year-old fossils and their replicas, which were obtained during the excavations supported by the Metropolitan Municipality and described as "the first and only in the world". Mayor Büyükkılıç gave information to Deputy Chairman Sırakaya about the fossils in the exhibition.
Mayor Büyükkılıç then hosted AK Party Deputy Chairman of Foreign Relations Zafer Sırakaya in the presidential office.
Memduh Büyükkılıç gave Sırakaya information about the work of the Metropolitan Municipality and the city, and stated that they moved Kayseri to a good point. Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “Our citizens from Kayseri loved and trusted us. We did not embarrass them either. We have never done anything to make any of our brothers bow their heads. We saw this as a wealth for our city, within the culture of harmony, with our organizations, ministers, MPs, and our President's perspective on us. "We moved our city to a good point," he said.
Stating that Kayseri is a self-sufficient city, Büyükkılıç said, “Kayseri is always defined as a self-sufficient city. He truly always makes sacrifices to support others. "We experienced this ourselves during the earthquake, God forbid it ever happens again," he said.
Stating that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan personally thanked Kayseri at the last rally in Cumhuriyet Square, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “We are grateful and thank our fellow citizens who love, choose and trust us. We show the will to be worthy of them. There is good work. Of course, when people see what is being done, they have new expectations. "We are aware of that because the people of Kayseri deserve it," he said.
AK Party Deputy Chairman of Foreign Relations Zafer Sırakaya said, “It is extremely valuable for us that you have set an example for our other cities. Today, you are hosting us in Kayseri, where we gather all the foreign relations heads of the Central Anatolia region. I would like to express my gratitude once again to both our provincial president and the mayor. "I hope we will be successful in crowning our work with the crown of the Turkey Century," he said.
