In order for low-income citizens, retirees and students trying to cope with difficult economic conditions to have access to affordable and delicious food, Izmit Municipality has transformed Gülümse Kafe Fevziye into the City Lokantasi model, the successful project of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and will offer 3-course meals for 40 TL in the City Lokantasi. .
Mayor Hürriyet examined the works that are nearing completion at Kent Restaurant and informed the citizens. Hürriyet said, “We started to operate Fevziye as Gülümse Kafe, with the same logic as our other social facilities. However, we started a study to improve the living conditions of our citizens who are going through difficult times due to the economic crisis, to support them economically, and to enable them to receive more affordable and quality food services. We are nearing the end of our work to transform Fevziye Tea Garden into a city restaurant, taking the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's City Restaurants project as a model.
“3 KINDS OF MEAL 40 TL”
We renovated and renovated from start to finish. We renewed the tables, chairs and equipment. All our kitchen staff that we will serve have arrived. We will complete some deficiencies in a short time. We plan to finish the work next week and open it to the service of our people. There are many working people in the city centre. Our decision to reduce the price of tea in Smile Cafes to 3 TL received a very good response from the citizens. We didn't say for nothing that good deeds are worth the heart. “FEVZİYE TOILETS WILL ALSO BE FREE WHEN THE TENDER IS ENDED”
At the same time, we are trying to make many services free. As soon as we took office, we made wedding halls 1 TL. We made the public toilets, which were paid because they were in tender, free as soon as the tenders were completed. We also put personnel in charge. It provides service in a clean manner. Unfortunately, since a long-term tender was held before us in Fevziye, unfortunately it is paid for now. When the tender is completed after 1 year, we will make it free of charge. We have many social services like this.
