With the system established to ensure that passengers and drivers travel safely, violations of the rules by the driver will be detected instantly and the necessary legal action will be initiated.

EGO General Directorate started the application of Video Management System and Artificial Intelligence Based Analytical Processes on 2021 EGO buses of 2022 and 327 models. Within the scope of the system, rule violations by drivers will be monitored instantly and legal action will be initiated.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ERA IN EGO BUSES
The Video Management System and the system that enables Artificial Intelligence-Based Analytical Transactions, developed with HAVELSAN AŞ, were installed on 327 buses newly added to the EGO fleet. The system will detect passenger density on a stop-by-stop basis and the data obtained will be used in business optimization. With the internal camera images of the buses and artificial intelligence-based analytical processes, the occupancy status of the bus and the stops where it cannot take passengers because it is full will be determined, and the number of services will be increased or additional service planning will be made during peak hours to prevent the passengers at the stops from suffering.
Stating that, as EGO General Directorate, they have implemented the Video Management System and Artificial Intelligence-Based Analytical Transactions application in order to increase the quality of transportation and provide a safe service, EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş gave the following information:
“Within the scope of Video Management System and Artificial Intelligence-based analytical processes for public transport buses; HAVELSAN A.Ş. The contract was signed with in August 2022. The contract price is 17 million TL, including hardware, and the system has started working. This system has been installed on newly purchased buses within the scope of efforts to improve the public transportation system in order to increase driver and passenger safety and transportation comfort. In the continuation of our project, we aim to maximize passenger safety and comfort by using this system in all buses in our fleet. Within the scope of the project, firstly the passenger density at the stops will be determined and the data obtained will be used. "The stops where the bus cannot take passengers due to occupancy will be detected thanks to the system, and the number of services can be increased or additional service planning can be made during peak hours."
RULES VIOLATIONS OF DRIVERS WILL BE MONITORED INSTANTLY
With the artificial intelligence system, the driver; Situations such as insomnia, fatigue, distraction, not wearing a seat belt, violating traffic rules, smoking in the vehicle, or using a mobile phone can be detected instantly. The aim of the application is to help the driver be more careful.
Stating that the cameras in the vehicle will be monitored moment by moment, Alkaş said, “Rule violations of our drivers while driving will be automatically determined as a result of artificial intelligence-based analytical processes using images taken from the vehicle camera, and the images of the moment of violation of the rule will be recorded and reported. "Necessary legal proceedings will be initiated against the driver who violates the rules," he said.
