An additional protocol was signed with ÇİBEL, the Çiğli Municipality company, with the participation of DİSK Aegean Regional Representative Memiş Sarı, the organized union at the workplace, DİSK Genel-İş İzmir No. 8 Branch President Deniz Şahin Gümüştekin, its management and representatives. A 2022-year contract was signed in 3, and an increase of 36 percent was agreed in the first year, 20 percent in the first six months of the second year, and 17 percent in the second six months. However, after the negative economic conditions, an additional protocol was signed and the increase rate, which was 17 percent in the second six months, was increased to 35 percent. In the third year, an agreement was reached on the increase at the rate of (WPI+PPI)/2+2, and a raise of 56 percent was made. However, after the inflation was announced as 27 percent, Çiğli Mayor Gümrükçü gave the good news of an additional raise to the workers.

Stating that he will not oppress employees against inflation, President Utku Gümrükçü equalized the 56,27 percent raise rate to inflation with an additional protocol. Gümrükçü said, “We did not predict that inflation would increase this much after the contract signed 3 years ago, but at this point, the increase arising from the contract was unfortunately below the inflation rate. We met with union officials and stated that we were ready to make the necessary raise and that we would never victimize our employees. Thus, we signed the additional protocol. On the other hand, President Utku Gümrükçü, who also gave the good news of seniority difference to the employees, said, “We aimed to ensure justice by giving seniority difference to our employees. "As a result, a daily severance increase of 2 TL will be calculated for each year of service and will be deposited into our employees' accounts."

According to the additional protocol; In addition to the increase rate of 56,27 percent, an additional 8,5 percent was added, increasing the increase rate to 64,77 percent and at the same time, meal fees were increased from 115 TL to 150 TL. In addition, seniority raises were also given to employees.
