Baykar Establishes a Factory in Ukraine

Defense company Baykar has started the construction of the factory near Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, which will provide employment for approximately 500 people.

Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar made a statement on the subject at the World Defense Fair in Riyadh.

Bayraktar, “Our factory is being built. “We need about 12 months to finish it.” dedicate. In his statement, Bayraktar said that after the completion of the construction activities, they will move on to the internal machinery, equipment and layout structure.

It will provide employment to 500 people

Bayraktar shared the information that their factory in Ukraine is large and they plan to employ around 500 people. Haluk Bayraktar noted that the production capacity will be around 120 units per year, but it is not yet clear whether they will focus on the TB2 or TB3 model in the factory.

Asked whether the Russia-Ukraine War would create a security problem, Baykar CEO stated that the plan was progressing and "nothing" could stop them. He stated that Baykar's plans to start production in Saudi Arabia in the next two years are on track.

He shared production-related numbers

Looking at this year, Baykar CEO Bayraktar stated that the company plans to double the domestic production of Akıncı, which is 2023 units in 36, and that TB2 production will remain unchanged at 230 units. Bayraktar added that they aim to produce "dozens" of the new models of the Kızılelma unmanned warplane and TB3 unmanned aerial vehicle.
